I heard about a new kind of bottom paint for boats and was initially quite skeptical. After speaking to the owner of the shipyard, I felt more confident and comfortable with having this product used on my boat. The owner was very professional and reassuring in his knowledge. Now that my boat is in the water again, I am beyond amazed. I have gained 2-3 knots using this silicon bottom paint. I could not be happier. We will see how it performs long term and how well it holds up. I’ll let Jason know.

Needed to have maintenance done. It was done right on now and the estimate was right on the mark. Since I already had my boat out and I needed the bottom painted soon. I had them paint it. Came out looking fantastic. Since getting it out on the water I am really happy with the increased performance and speed.

I had a great experience with Jason and Emily! They supplied me with vital parts for my boat that are still working great today and Jason personally came and helped me install a few things. My partner and I and I know many other people around town are thankful to have them here for their marvelous range of much needed services, a wide variety of products which can be difficult to find when you need it, and their vast knowledge. Super rude guy standing outside this place was trying to tell my buddy in his car how to park. Clearly yes we needed to parallel park and I told him I knew that. My friend simply thought he could squeeze into the spot differently. He then proceeded to drive past us, mock me, and said “bruh, you should listen to people older than you, they are smarter.” Not a great way to represent the company you work for. He was wearing a shirt that was branded with the company, and I believe a company Tesla. I’m sure the company is great! It looked like a very well maintained facility, but this dude in particular was plain and simple rude.

Jason and Emily are top-notch. In addition to being honest and caring business owners, they really know their stuff. My trimaran lives in Seattle, but I make it a point to visit ESI at least twice a summer. Jason is truly a jack of all trades and I have seen him solve complicated problems on a variety of vessels. I personally choose ESI for all things electrical, although I've consulted with them on a number of marine systems.

My boat is light and fast and I want to keep it that way. Through my conversations and purchases with ESI, I have added cruising comforts while still keeping an eye on racer weight. To top it off, their prices are some of the best around. I recently purchased a diesel heater for less than I can find anywhere online and they had a courier deliver it to Roche Harbor mid-way through my Round the County Race. What service! I look forward to seeing them again this summer to discuss energy consumption and systems for my boat.

These guys are dangerously bad. They forgot to attach my buddy's prop shaft which pulled out of his transmission and nearly sunk his boat when he tried backing out of his slip. I recently had them splice some new halyards for me, which took several tries and still ended up being so bad I wouldn't trust them for a dog leash, and ate up so much of my line trying to splice it I might not be able to use it once I have it redone correctly. Don't believe me just ask around town, I wish I had. Nobody I've talked to will let ESI anywhere near their boat. One star for good electrical parts selection at least.

EDIT 7/10/2024, the POFH agrees with me:
"The Port has received communications from other port tenants and ESI, LLC Customers that ESI has a poor and worsening reputation here at the Port. These communications largely fall into two categories:
o Customer complaints of poor service and unjustifiably high or surprise billing; and
o Vendors avoiding the boatyard because of ESI’s presence.

The concerns regarding customer and vendor complaints are not the only source of cause for concern that Port staff have when considering ESI’s ability to provide an acceptable level of service to the public. ESI has also:
o Routinely violated moorage rules
o Failed to pay the Port bills on time.
o Communicated poorly with Port staff.
o Informed the Commission that they will be leaving the facility in the next 30 days if not given control of the boatyard and lift."
