I rented a car there on Saturday. It was so quick and so easy. The car was very clean the man in the office I wish I could remember his name was just so wonderful and so helpful so kind and so friendly he was so nice. He made the whole experience so wonderful. He was in the Shelton Connecticut office on Saturday and he was just the nicest young man. He will definitely go far in life. He had a wonderful personality and was just so kind and I appreciated all He may be experience so easy and gave enterprise a wonderful name. I appreciate all his help.

Made a reservation over the weekend for Monday morning pickup 8 am. It was confirmed on there website along with a conformation number. Shelton office called me ten minutes to 8 to basically say I'm out of Luck!! They have no cars!!! DO NOT rent from Enterprise Shelton!!!!!!!

I rented a vehicle from this enterprise location and was met with the same issues both times. First instance was back in September of 2023 when i visited with my wife and 5 month old child. We picked up the car and the check-in process was smooth. The car had a heavy air freshener smell and that was to mask the cigarette smell. We didn't notice it at first, but after some time baking in the sun it was more than obvious and we weren't ready to put ourselves or our infant child in that car longer than we needed to. The staff was able to get us into a new vehicle(albeit smaller) and the inconvenience of having to go back and get a smaller car was not the experience i wanted. They did however discount one day off the price which was appreciated. The staff was understanding and quick to accommodate which i appreciated.

Unfortunately we visited again in the middle of April 2024 and the same thing happened again, and that's why this is a 1 star review and not a zero star review if i could give one. It's very difficult for me to believe the staff doesn't notice the cigarette smell... and they try to mask it, get people out the door, and hope that they would live with it and not bring the car back. I will no longer use this location or any enterprise location, it will be National, Avis, Budget moving forward for us.
