Dan Bonebrake is a revolutionary and an inventor. I had the privilege of observing that manufacturing process of Ecorrcrate and learned about their huge sustainability initiative. This company is revolutionizing the crating industry, which has not changed in over 4,000 years. Not only is the Ecorrcrate lightweight, but can withstand greater weight loads than their wooden counterparts. It saves tremendously in freight due to its weight, reducing the carbon footprint of all trucks on the road. It can be reused over and over, keeping millions of tons of lumber out of the landfill. Additionally, the product is safer to handle and assembly/disassembly takes a fraction of the time and effort, thereby freeing up labor resources and nullifying worker injuries.

During my time at the facility, I noticed that Dan treats his workers with respect and regularly encourages them with added rewards and incentives. He’s a man who keeps his word when he gives it and he is friendly and easy to work with.
