Rewarding your opinions (operated by Dynata) online surveys are not worth the time and effort. I will give one example to help make up your own mind… I participated in a survey with an estimated time of 20 minutes and the reward of 8 Air Miles. The survey took a little over 60 minutes in answering a considerable number of questions. I was thanked for completing the survey with confetti falling on my screen and the reward message showing as “0 Air Miles have been credited to your account”. Contacting a support agent and trying to explain this concern was very frustrating because on their end the survey was completed and the reward was paid out. Having to fight for my well-earned rewards and the risk that they might lose a survey panelist along with a negative review only goes to show how much they care, says a lot of Rewarding Your Opinions….

Been a member for eight years. Like the surveys and the variety. Recently my account has been locked for "data concerns". Guessing because there were some recent changes to my household and I now travel a lot. SSI (Opinion Outpost specifically) has not contacted me now for over two weeks. Normally there are decent responding within a couple of days. Guess this is there way of saying you are out without giving an explanation. Really disappointing. I also have a balance and was in the middle of a product test which I didn't receive the chance to give my opinion.

I used several of SSI's surveying services over the last few months, but my worst experience has been with iPoll. After successfully cashing out $200 this year in $25 increments with no problems, I randomly had my account terminated as I tried to cash out nearly $50 to PayPal (food and gas money that took me a month and many, many hours to earn), apparently due to a violation of their terms.

However, I did not violate terms, and now no one at the company will speak with me. The receptionist at headquarters is rude and unhelpful. You can't even get a word in edgewise, and she refused to let me speak to her supervisor, transferring me to their unmanned "customer service line" voicemail box repeatedly without my permission. I also received nothing more than a copied and pasted message via email, and any other attempts I have made to contact the company has fallen on deaf ears.

I highly regret all of the people I have referred to this service. Beware also Quick Thoughts, Opinion Outpost, and any other name used by SSI. They string you along for awhile, but ultimately everything about this company is a scam.

I have joined them early this year, qualified for some surveys, and thought the incentives were okay. For the last month or two I rarely qualified for surveys, and, when I'd gone to check my account, I only see Upromise rewards. You have to have accumulated $30 to receive $5 added to your Upromise account, $60 to receive $20 at Upromise, or $120 to receive $50 at Upromise. What's up with that? Of the time I spent answering the surveys, I could have been putting towards other surveys or another site that would have better incentives. I don't have kids who go to college, I don't go to college, so why would I need a Upromise account? Don't waste your time with these lousy rewards.

I take surveys but no points are credited. I answer a multitude of questions which appear to be surveys and are then told that I do not match. The "surveys I have answered" were not in my humble opinion "qualification" questions. Survey qualifications are usually 3-4 questions long. They do not come with a earn points by taking a survey tag line. It would appear that I (consumer/subscriber) is being scammed into taking surveys (promising "points" rewards), taking the surveys and then being told I do not qualify.

I am surprised that Jet Blue has not seen through this "scam" yet. I will be contacting them.

I think a major explanation by SSI is due me (and perhaps thousands of others)

OK – so they call me every 2 hours or so on the weekends, so I called them back. There’s a recorded message that tells you they were doing a survey, and if you want to get off the list send them an EMAIL to xyz address! Jeez – that’s the sketchiest thing I have ever heard! Why would I give my email address away to a company that I have no relationship with that is constantly calling me unsolicited?! Welcome to Spamalot!

Also, if you’ve just called me for a survey and I call you right back, why don’t you connect me to the person doing the survey? It’s so stupid from a business perspective to offer someone calling you back an “unsub” as a first option. I’ve called you back!!! So your recording should say, “We are SSI and we’re a survey company. We’re interested in your opinion on a number of important national issues. Press one to be connected to one of our friendly pollsters. Press two to be ubsubbed.”

I almost want them to pay me as a common-sense consultant.

I would give them zero if I could. I have tried to "unsubscribe" from the Wyndham Rewards Panel (which is done by the company) to no avail. I replied to the emails and yet they still keep coming least once a day. It is NOT linked to Wyndham and when I called Wyndham they explained that they have no control over this "program". I have just called the phone number leaving a message. I hope they will call me back....

PS They promise one thing and switch to another (more time, fewer rewards) AFTER you waste a ton of time with questions. I would not be surprised if it is a way to collect information on us not for research--but either way it is a scam and a huge waste of time.

Received a survey call asking if I wanted to answer a short political survey. I agreed. Once it started I had trouble understanding the callers word pronunciation. It was apparent they did not fluently speak English. Took several times for me to understand their questions. Took over half hour to end call.
