Always enjoy the ferry ride. The crab was sooo good, cole slaw was bland, corn on the cob was shriveled and tasteless. Some of the music was really good, didn't hear it all. Fun to visit the arts & crafts booths. Went to Swains, also in Port Angeles, had to get the fresh popcorn.

This was my fourth time coming to the Crab fest and once again I was not disappointed!! The fresh crab is fabulous and very affordable!!! Your ticket is good all day. There's always music and several vendors in the tent and on the pier. There's also many other food options available as well. And we always meet really nice people at the communal tables. Always fun!! Will be going next year too!!

I'm from Sacramento and had returned from visiting Vancouver Island and through one of the sponsors "Black Ball Ferry" found out about the festival. We had a great time. Organizer have it down showed up and got feed. Didn't have any trouble find a place to sit and eat. This is the first Dungeness crab for my season. You also get corn on the cob, and slaw. The live music was wonderful, several stages. Now mind you the going price for a 2 lb. crab was $15-$18 lb. (uncooked) the price for the festival crab is a little higher. When the season begins here in Sacramento it can run around $5-$10 lb from the local Asian market. But it made for a good time and did not go home hungry. I would suggest you to the organizer state the closing time for the festival booth. We schedule our meal for dinner, ate then walked out thinking we would have time to visit the booths but they were closed. Lost business for the vendor. Had money in my pocket to burn! That's OK went to the saved money to go to the Casino. The other thing is the butter went hard. I crack all of my crab first then eat. With it being cooler at dinner the the butter went hard. For me that's OK I eat Asian style (steam rice with fish sauce cilantro, hot peppers).

It was quaint, organized and staff overall was pleasant! They ran out of crab dinners fairly quickly. Highly recommend to pre-order your crab plate/dinner! Market price if you did not pre-order was around $3. They offer whole crab and half. There are food trucks, as well.

We visited early on the opening day of 2023. The weather was amazing, the food was great, and I enjoyed seeing the vendors. We did not stay for the evening shows.

Lovely festival with talented vendors. The line for the whole crab does run extremely long during the middle of the day (even if you pre-ordered). We went for the festivities took a break at the hotel then came back to get in line at 7 pm. It was substantially shorter but we still waited for 30 minutes or so. Food does run expensive for particularly small portions averaging $16-$45.

My wife and I attended on Saturday and had a wonderful time. She had the crab dinner and I had scallops on rice. Both meals we delicious.

The vendor selection was also very nice. I picked up an alpaca hoodie that I am enjoying.
