I highly recommend Duncan Vacuum Systems. I broke the handle of my central vac hose and thought I was looking at either a costly repair or purchasing a whole new hose. I called Duncan Vacuum and Jerry said to send him a few photos to help him determine what model it was to make sure he brought the right parts. Once he saw my issue, he quickly called me back and said the fix was something he could walk me through over the phone and do myself. Who does that now days? He could have not said anything and charged me for a repair visit, etc. Jerry Duncan is an honorable man and I highly recommend Duncan Vacuum.

I recently contacted Duncan's Vacuum Systems in Bristol Ct. after being given their name as a Certified Dealer for Nuera-Air ( Nuera-Air had just purchased the Eureka/ Beam/ Electrolux Central Vacuum Company in December 2018) and moved it to New Brunswick, Canada. My 15 year old central vac power head and wands had 'shorted out" and I was trying to repair both. After sending Nuera-Air the Model# (and some pictures) they supplied the names of three "Dealers"; one in New York; one on Long Island and one in Bristol Ct. (Duncan's Vacuum Systems.) I called "Duncan's) and left a message. In the meantime Nuera sent me the parts# for "new" wiring and they mentioned that they don't sell directly to consumers (they are only a wholesaler) and that I would need to contact one of their dealers. I finally heard back from Duncan's and I explained that the wiring was "shorted' out in both the power head and the wand ;and i was going to try to take the wires out of both. i told him I had the part #'s for the new wiring and that I would call him back. I then discovered that the "wiring" could not be '"changed out" and that I probably needed a NEW Power Head & Wand combination. I left another message for Duncan's and contacted Nuera-Air (again) in order to get "NEW" Item # 's that were compatible with the rest of my central vac system.

This is when this entire episode got "very dark'. Duncan's called back; proceeded to "lecture me"; "... told me that I was never allowed to contact Nuera; accused me of "...going behind his back..."? Told me to "...never call him again."" and abruptly ended the call. (He hung up) I was stunned. I don't believe he realized that I was about to purchase a "NEW" Power head and Wands from him? I then found a retailer in Boston (E-Vacuum) and made the purchase through them.

I then contacted Nuera; told them what had happened (they were very disappointed) and I thanked them for all their help. They gave me the contact information for the Nuera- USA-Canada General Manager (Jerry White) and I emailed him.

"Bottom Line"
Run (don't walk) as far away as you can from Duncan Vac Systems in Bristol Ct.
