The owner, Dave Henderson is a friend of mine and in 2018, took out our old wooden deck and installed a beautiful composite deck. His company handled everything from getting the permits, designing and scheduling the installation and his guys that removed the old deck and installed the new composite deck kept us well aware of where they were in the whole process. The whole job took about a week. I highly recommend Dave's company, infact I've recommended them to at least 100 people, maybe more!

Dave and his crew had the unenviable task of ripping out 120 feet of old and rotting 6' tall fencing, including the concrete-bases for the posts that were intertwined in tree roots. The installation was the new fence was difficult as well as those same roots, rocks and ledge presented many challenges. Result? A brand new backyard area with a lovely cedar fence surrounding it - the adjoining neighbors were delighted as well. Thanks Dave and crew!

I initially had planned on getting my fence from Lowes however not only did Custom Fence beat there price by a long shot their time frame was far faster. Dave's crew came out and laid down 160+ feet of fence in one day. As for the review of 100 pound dog walking through the fence... I have a 145 pound Rottie who decided to strength test the fence by running fill tilt into it both the fence and the dog are fine. Great product price and availability.

We used Custom Fence of Old Lyme for the first time this spring. We wanted to use a local company — and we’re so glad we did. Custom Fence built and installed a cedar panel fence for us. The work was done on time, at a fair price, and in a very professional manner. Our new fence is sturdy, very attractive, and just what we wanted.

David did an excellent job for us on our new cottage in Old Saybrook. New fence for the backyard and a really nice custom outdoor shower. In addition, he completed a new deck for the front of the cottage that gave us a new entry but kept the nice cottage feel. Thanks for the great work David.

Although I was initially pleased with the fence David installed, my opinion has changed dramatically for the worse. My 100lb.dog can walk through my 30k fence like a hot knife through butter. David suggested adding a layer of welded 2x4 mesh fencing connected with zip ties. Augie the doggie broke the weld and walked right through. I called David for suggestions. He stopped by my home and saw the damage. I have called and texted him repeatedly, but he won't return my call. Bottom line is he didn't stand by his product and/or keep my pet safe. Because of this, i can't in good conscience reccomend Custom Fence.
