Concord University hosted the first regional competition of the West Virginia Academic Showdown, a game show style competition between teams of four. As the Communications Liaison for the university, I worked with Cucumber and Company through planning, set-up, and production of this event.

Each player and the host were mic’d using a variety of styles for optimum sound quality. The event was filmed using a multi-camera approach for a fully produced final product to be shown on PBS during the final competition.

Cucumber & Company is like a mobile television studio. Multiple cameras, different microphones, lights, monitors, camera switching technology...they have it all. We needed a television quality production and they delivered. Their team was professional, efficient, and beyond prepared for anything we needed.
