Cress recently remodeled our cramped 1970s kitchen. Katie and her team were a pleasure to work with. Remodeling can be stressful, but Cress made the process easier. We appreciated that there weren't any high pressure sales tactics like we experienced with some of the other companies. Katie visited our home to discuss what we wanted and take measurements. Then, we visited their showroom to see the project rendering, make changes, and look at material samples. We were able to take samples home, and we were never rushed to make a decision. Katie was very patient when we wanted to make changes. She also provided insightful layout, design, and storage solution ideas while keeping our vision and budget in mind. We appreciated that we were given a calendar before construction started that stated who would be at our house working on what each day. Everyone that we encountered was professional, pleasant to work with, and respectful of our home. Overall, we are very happy with the result, and we would definitely recommend Cress.

I have recently had the pleasure of hiring Cress for my kitchen remodel. They took my entire kitchen to the studs and subfloor and replaced everything!! I am so happy that I went with Cress.

Sue was my general contractor, that’s what I called her because she coordinated all of the employees and subcontractors and oversaw my entire project. She is incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of construction. There is nothing that she doesn’t know!! I loved that she gave me a calendar for our project that indicated each step of the process, who would be handling that phase, what date(s) they would be here and for how long. Each of the workers that came to my house were very professional, respectful and helpful. They all went above and beyond in their scope of practice.

Inevitably, things will come up that are unexpected and unforeseen. Sue and her team were great at problem-solving and critical thinking!! I would be in a panic and think the sky was falling in and Sue would handle it with grace and quickly work to resolve the issue. No problem was ever to big for her.

Ultimately, my kitchen turned out more beautiful that I had even imagined. When I first had Sue out to bid the job, I told her that I had some ideas but I wanted her expertise to make the final decisions. She told me right from the beginning, that she wanted to use my ideas and promised me that she wouldn’t let me make a mistake. She did use all my ideas and they turned out to be the right decisions. She made my 20-year dream come true. Sue and her team are so good at what they do!! I will recommend them to everyone I know. I trust them completely and hope to use them in the future. Katie and her crew were a pleasure to work with. All very friendly, professional and masters of their trades. We had 2 bathrooms remodeled which involved replacing fiberglass shower inserts with new tile showers, replacing all flooring with tile and a new granite counter in the master. Overall we are very pleased with the results and would definitely consider Cress for future remodeling.

We used Cress to remodel our kitchen and master bathroom and it was the best decision I’ve made as a home owner. When I decided it was time for a remodel, I interviewed 12 contractors and chose Cress based on their level of service, their competitive price, their vast show room and the expertise of their staff. I worked with Katie and we were blown away every step of the way. I want to share my experience with the Denver area because I truly did not have one complaint using Cress. First off, Katie gave me the most beautiful, well thought out proposal out of any other bid I got. She truly thought of everything and put so much work into it before I even moved forward. She was so conscious of my budget, she listened to all my desires and really put together the best proposal. Selecting all my finishes and products was a piece of cake with the incredible showroom at Cress. They have a huge selection and Katie has an eye for design. I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for for my bathroom tile floor and Katie actually went out and ordered more samples for me to look through to find the perfect tile. Each selection I made she helped me stay in line with my budget and explained what made sense to spend more on or be more budget friendly. I truly had a blast with Katie designing my kitchen.

Now, to get started on the actual remodel. About a month before we started, Katie gave me a detailed schedule and timeline of the entire 8 week project. I knew who to expect in my home and when. I’ve heard horror stories of contractors taking forever, not showing up when they say, and with Cress this simply is not the case. Katie manages all the sub contractors, has everyone stick to a schedule and had open lines of communication the entire time. The subcontractors were all amazing and were long time partners with Cress. I felt comfortable with who was in my home and they all were incredible respectful and nice to talk to.

We ran into two problems during our remodel, both were minor. First, due to my flooring, it made it more difficult to have a diagonal tub. And second, due to my HVAC and plumbing in the kitchen, we weren’t able to completely remove the soffits like planned. With both of these minor issues, Katie came to me with solution options, how much it costs, what work it entails and what her recommendation was. I was never directly involved in any stress or issues, Katie would problem solve through them and then bring me options. This is exactly what I needed! I didn’t need to be involved in absolutely everything, as I’ve never done this before and it was exactly why we hired the pros. We ended up spending a little extra money to make the tub diagonal and we were able to make the soffits smaller. Overall, we were almost perfectly on schedule, except for the soffit issue caused us to have to order new upper cabinets (which didn’t cost us anything). The project had a 3 week pause while we waited for the upper cabinets, but my kitchen was usable through the pause. We went a tad over budget, but that was mainly due to my requests of newer features. Before we did anything that would raise the cost, Katie carefully explained to me the price increase and made sure I was okay with it. There were no surprises.

Now, we truly have our dream kitchen and master bathroom!!! If you are looking for a full service designer and contractor for your house project, look no further. For a full service experience, their prices are very competitive and their work is top notch. They’ve been around forever and have the most incredible staff! We are so happy we chose Cress! We recently hired Cress to upgrade our family room and a bathroom in our house in Denver. This was the second remodeling project Cress has completed for us having remodeled our kitchen three year as ago. The kitchen project was completed so well (great design, and on time/on budget) we selected them to help with our new projects. Katie and her team are always professional and kept us informed throughout the project. She helped us design rooms that fit our house and our personal style and she then managed the project effectively particularly through supply chain and permit challenges offering solutions whenever a challenge developed. We love the new rooms which provide us great spaces to live comfortably and enjoy for years to come. We highly recommend Cress for any remodeling projects.

Cress kitchen did a complete remodel on my 1954 kitchen. They said it would take 6 weeks and it did! The team, lead by project coordinator Megan Rose, was professional, timely, accessible, and handled all the details along the way. I really appreciated the project coordinators/supervisors who checked on progress everyday either by phone or onsite. They guarantee their work for a year so it’s comforting to know they available for issues that may arise after project completion. They did a great job!

We are currently in the midst of our second remodel project with Cress, our master bathroom. A couple of years ago we renovated our kitchen with Cress. They were recommended by a neighbor and we have been very satisfied with their work. The designer is a wonderful, efficient, organized and creatively inspired guide throughout the planning and execution process of each project. She stays in close contact with us and is available for all our many questions. All the workmen and technicians are dependable, friendly and respectful of us and our home.
