Absolutely 100% satisfied customer! So we just moved into our house a few weeks ago and realized that mounting our TV wouldn't be as easy as we thought, since there was literally NO outlets even remotely near the mantle where we wants to hang the TV. Even more problematic was the fact that the hookup for the Cox router was in the garage, which cut down on our wifi signal pretty noticeably, even just on the other side of the garage door. So I started looking around online for companies that help install home theater systems. Having used Best Buy for this in the past, I can tell you that I didn't want to deal with that headache again. Through some kind of Google magic, I found Colt Power and Technology and decided to reach out.

The first thing that really impressed me when talking with Mike(the owner) was how laid back he was. He came out to the house and did a free size-up for me, letting me know what he would want to do if I decided to have them come in. He was very knowledgeable about many aspects of the whole process(electrical, entertainment systems, etc.). It made it very easy to make the decision on my part. He was willing to work with me on my schedule for a time that would work best for me, which really meant a lot as well.

When they came to the house on the day of the job, Mike brought another employee named Will with him. Now, I'm typically pretty curious about how all this stuff works(without being much of a DIY'er, I admit). I ask lots of questions, Mike and Will both were happy to answer anything I asked, as well as pointed out some interesting aspects of my house that I hadn't known before...chiefly that my house had never been wired for cable. There had also been previous homeowners who had DISH network at some point and left loose hanging cables all over my garage wall. Mike took those down and will actually went under the house to run cable so there wouldn't be anything exposed. Its this kind of attention to detail that really impressed me.

They were very clean and tidy, and didn't leave a mess. They must have rechecked the placement of the TV to make sure it was centered a few hundred times, since my fiancee is quite OCD about that kind of stuff. They even ran placed outlets into the alcove of shelves beside the fireplace and ran cable so I could move my router indoors and enjoy all the great signal I've been paying for! 🙂

The thing that stuck with me most was, when talking to Mike and asking him about how the cables would be run, he walked me through it and then told me "This is how I would do it in a multi-million dollar house and this is what I would do in my house also". Now I DEFINITELY don't live in a mansion, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy a quality set-up for your TV and electronics. And that's exactly what you'll get when you use Colt Power and Technology. I'm definitely going to give them a holler if I ever need anything else done. Thank you Mike and Will!!

I called about an outlet that was damaged and they came same day to replace it, were super informative about how to avoid this situation again, and were reasonably priced. I would definitely work with them again

Mike was wonderful! He was right on time and very polite. He knew what our issue was right away, and told us exactly what was wrong. He fixed the fan in our bedroom and even told us how we can avoid further electrical issues in the future. I highly recommend this company!

Mike came out to investigate why one of my outdoor lights was not getting power anymore. After investigating he came to the conclusion one of the neutrals was likely cut. After pulling of the siding he uncovered a mess (lots of stuff out of code). He re-ran the line, added a siding box, re-installed the light, chalked everything, and even fixed a second outdoor light that wasn’t secured properly. He kindly explained everything to me along the way. It takes a lot for me to call an electrician because I like to do this kind of work myself but I am glad I did… he uncovered a total mess and got it all straight. I did a lot of research on companies before calling. Colt Electrical kept popping up and came highly recommended. No regrets and I have already sent his info to several friends. Thank you! It is so hard nowadays to find honest companies. I was recommended to this company. So I gave them a shot. The lady who called me to schedule the appointment was very sweet and professional.
Two electricians showed up to our home. They were extremely professional. They talked to my wife and I as if they knew us for years. They were done with the job in less than 10 minutes. One of the electricians heard my smoke detector was beeping and on his own he changed the battery. Outstanding service and they went above and beyond. A company that actually cares about their customers. Thank you for showing my wife and I there are still honest companies.

Just had Colt Power over to see why my flat iron was making my lights flicker when I turn it on. Mike was excellent. Super thorough, he found that some of my outlets were not tight so he fixed those to see if that was the problem. I really appreciated that he fixed stuff as they went along. He could have easily went right by them and I would have never known, like the box for an outlet that was installed improperly but he fixed it. Great customer service. I will definitely be calling them again for any electrical needs.

The baking element in my oven shorted out. The fire dept. recommended I have an electrician check it out. Am I glad I contacted Colt Power! My call was returned the same day, and Mr. Polsinelli was at my home the next day to ensure the appliance was safely disabled. I had also requested a estimate to replace kitchen outlets. Upon his inspection he discovered one that needed expedited attention and replaced it that same day. He was professional, respectful of my property and concerned for my safety. Very reasonably pricing as well. I will use Colt Power again and recommend him for anyone needing electrical work done.
