If you’ve ever driven through Chimacum, Washington, on your way to Port Townsend, slow down! Chimacum Corner Farmstand, a rural natural grocer and nursery that focuses on “keeping it local,” is one of my Olympic Peninsula favorites. Locals call it “the Corner.”

Chimacum Corner Farmstand is made up of four parts: Corner Produce Porch, Corner Grocery, Corner Kitchen, and Corner Nursery:

Corner Produce Porch is a beautifully designed produce porch that you pass through as you enter into the building. They sell only Certified Organic and crops grown by local farmers using organic methods. They have repeatedly been voted “Best Produce Jefferson County.”

Corner Grocery is a small but well-curated grocery store that offers an outstanding selection of drinks, meats, treats, personal care, housewares and cleaning supplies, specialty goods, Corner merchandise, and more. They emphasize local and organic products.

Corner Kitchen is one of my favorite parts of the store. They have a coffee corner with housemade treats and pastries, a deli fridge full of fresh sandwiches, wraps, fresh spring rolls, and salads. They also have lots of grab-n-go goodies, and pre-prepared frozen meal offerings like lasagna and hearty pot-pies. Some of the grab-n-go goodies are made in house, but there are also lots of products made by local vendors and neighboring businesses. They have an outstanding selection! Corner Kitchen plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options too. Bring your cooler because you are going to want to buy everything you see!

Corner Nursery is “a lush array of plants, seeds, soils and amendments, pollinators and pest control, pottery, books, and more.” They have a seasonally rotating lineup of hardy, locally grown and suitable, “clean” plants.

This is the kind of business that makes me wish I lived here. One day, I will live in nearby Pierce County, at least part of the year. When I do, I plan to be become a regular customer of this business. I can’t wait!

Be sure to check out Chimacum Corner Farmstand’s excellent website and Instagram. They do an excellent job updating both. A couple of days ago. They did a great post on their Instagram about their Take-N-Bake Pies, some of which are available with gluten-free crusts.

Highly Recommended!!!

Love this place. Lots of quality products in a small space, best produce selection around. I guess the best things DO come in small packages. The farmers market is great, as well- can’t wait for spring when it comes back.

This is very easy to find, access, and exit being located at a four-way stop intersection. Very nice local store with many local products. Produce, shown below, is the first section you enter after passing through the door. The staff is
friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, it resembles many food co-ops or organic food stores with 100s of packaged grocery items.
They have a plant nursery in attached greenhouses. There are picnic tables and a porto-potty with a hand washing station on the side of the business. New photos added 9/2022.

I love this is a Seattle-family owned business. You walk in to be presented with the most beautiful produce in the world. ALL LOCAL! Everything in this store is. I love stocking up on milk, honey, and produce. Everyone here is so friendly and sweet too. 6 years later... Still amazing 😍 I wish I could shop here daily. Even the size isn't overwhelming. Though a few prices are. It's always worth a stop in here!

Been shopping here since the store first opened. Small store with a friendly staff, limited selection but of high quality. That being said, I've almost always found what I need and checking out is not like the terrible lines at big grocery stores - quick and easy.

On vacation in Port Ludlow and stopped in here to pick up ingredients for dinner- we hoped. As it turned out, they had everything we needed and more- great organic veggies and meat and bulk spices and even specialty ingredients that I was convinced they wouldn't have! Just a wonderful little resource and unexpected gem with very friendly and helpful employees.

A gem of a country market. They have local produce and meats from the many wonderful farms in the area. Local organic wines are on offer: try the sailor vineyards! Prices are reasonable and beat wholefoods for price and quality. You can buy plants here and they have a good selection of starts from local producers. There is a full-blown farmer's market located here on Sundays during the late spring and summer.
