I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience at Central Virginia Custom Meats. I took my deer in to be processed this passed season, and I must say, they did an outstanding job. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and professional, treating me like a valued customer.

When I picked up the meat, it was clear they put a lot of care into the process. The cuts were perfect, and everything was vacuum-sealed and labeled neatly for easy storage. The wait took some time, but any business who is doing well is going to have a lot of customers! It was absolutely worth the wait for the quality of the final product. Oh... and did I mention, I cooked some up when I got home and boy oh boy was it good!

If you’re looking for top-notch deer processing, I highly recommend Central Virginia Custom Meats. They really know their stuff, and I’ll definitely be bringing my deer to them again next season!

We have been getting beef and pork exclusively from Nick's family for almost 6 years now, and he will be our butcher for life! The care taken of their animals from birth to table is apparent in the quality of the meat. The pride, enthusiasm and commitment Nick has in his craft are visible, and I know that no matter how busy he is, he will take the time needed every step of the way to ensure the finest final product. It's worth getting on his waiting list, you will be blown away!

Super impressed with Nick and his work. The summer sausage is some of the best I've ever had. The bacon deer burger we definitely enjoy, we eat it all year long. Y'all definitely need to check him out, he has a wonderful operation going. I'll take all my deer to him for sure!!!!

Centra Virginia Custom Meats is by far the best butcher shop we have ever dealt with- personable, knowledgeable & the tastiest Venison EVER! He has worked up 5 deer for us & it is unmatched with other venison we have had in the past. We are so happy to have Nick in this area and appreciate his quality work and attention to detail. The meat is most definitely worth the wait during hunting season and we are happy to have them help us fill our freezer.

I took multiple deer this year to Nick and he did nothing less than great work! All of the cuts were done to perfection and the packaging of the meat was fantastic. It was worth the wait it took to get my deer back from Nick. I won’t be going anywhere else!

Highly recommend Central Virginia Custom Meats. Nick is extremely knowledgeable and and professional. We sold beef shares and he worked with our customers to answer questions and help them fill out their cut sheets as it was their first experience buying shares. Absolutely the best service and great quality processing/packaging in a butcher that we have personally experienced. He hangs the meat as long as wanted by the customer and is so professional and easy to work with. We have had both hogs and beef processed here and will continue to use his services and will continue recommending this processor.
