First visit to see comedian Kyle Kinane last night. Very lovely theater, we sat in the balcony & the seats were comfy. The only issue was the sound was not great. Couldn't hear a lot of what the opening comedians said, maybe if we were in the lower level sound would have been better. Staff was super friendly & helpful & there was free parking nearby. We made the trek from Seattle & it was well worth the trip & would come back again! Olympia & the theater are great!

The last show we saw was Kevin Nealon. How much fun it was to go to a show here in town! Awesome venue, would go to more shows if they had more live bands and performers!

Nice historic theater. Sound and lighting were good. You could see well from any seat. Floors are slanted so wear appropriate shoes. Bathrooms are tiny.

I always love visiting this local theater. The adult programming is great, my favorite is The Rocky Horror Picture Show with live shadow cast. The free kids days are also fantastic. Just saw Elf with my son today and he had a blast. I’m not sure if it was because the theater wasn’t full but my only complaint would be that it was unbearably cold inside the theater. We were both wearing coats and it was hard to pay attention because we were so chilly. Hoping it was just a fluke.

Very sweet, small, older theatre. I really enjoyed my visit. The vibes are excellent! Friendly warm (not snooty) people working here The seating and sound are good. The visibility of the stage was excellent from where I sat due to well-designed slope.

I'm sure it was more ornate in its day. It would be awesome if they could do restoration, but I know that's very expensive.

This is such a beautiful building and a nostalgic atmosphere. The staff are wonderfully welcoming. I'm grateful we have preserved this wonderful place.

A nice older theater. The popcorn was pretty good, and there's lots of options for flavors you can add to it. I would not recommend the coffee.

Got to the Sleater-Kinney show early to get a good seat. Not only did they start letting people in 40 minutes late (7 pm doors open) but they allow a mosh pit. So excited to get a front row seat only to look at a bunch of rear ends and being stepped on multiple times. I understand there is not assigned seating, but I found this extremely annoying and frankly not a safe practice if, god forbid, a fire or something would have happened. My husband and I actually left before Sleater-Kinney took stage. I didn’t even get to enjoy the show I paid for. I will never attend or recommend a concert at Capital Theatre.
