Went in on Thursday around 8:30 am tobget my propane tanks filled before the hurricane weather arrived. It was sprinkling outside and we didn't have the first lightning that day until late afternoon. The sweet lady at the front told me that based on the sign on the counter they could not fill my containers during inclement weather. I asked to speak with the manager since there was no inclement weather at the time. The Assistant Manager came up and repeated what the cashier said. I politely mentioned that inclement weather would be referring to high winds and/or lightning and that it was just sprinkling. At that point, he said, " We also reserve the right to just not fill them if we do not want to." I then asked when the manager would be in, he then proceeded to tell me that he did not have a set schedule and just pops in from time to time. So much for friendly neighborhood service!

The only Ace Hardware within 100 miles that was open on Sunday. I drove there to get a chainsaw, Milwaukee 16” 18V battery operated. I’d done my research. I already have the batteries. A young man met me at the door and asked if I needed any help. I told him what I needed, I bought it and left to clean up the 30’ branch that fell in the back yard 3 days ago. This chainsaw cut through that log like butter. It was as loud as a vacuume, as advertised. The entire branch was cut into manageable pieces in 30 minutes. 2 of us took the debris out to the street with a wheel barrow. The entire job took 90 minutes including blowing out the debris. I am very happy with capital city ace hardware today! This, to me, is what a hardware store is for. Be open when I need them. Have what I need in stock. Make it easy to get in and out. I’ll do the rest. Also, delighted with quality of my purchase and the price. Totally recommend!

All I Can Say Is That My Wife And I Were Greated By Marcus, The Cashier When We First Walked In And We Were Also Met By Will, Which He Was Working On The Floor. He Asked Us What Did We Need Help With, And I Was In Amazement, Because Will Is Confined To A Wheelchair And I Just Love That He Still Works And He Was A Very Big Help To Us. We We Ended Up Buying 2 Cans Of Thompsons Water Seal And We Were Also In Need Of A Sprayer, Which Kyle Came Over To Assist Us As Well. Me And My Wife Would've Been Lost In Finding What We Needed If It Wasn't For The Kind Service Of Your Employees. We Most Definitely Will Be Back For The Outstanding Service And The Great Deals. They Were All A Big Help And The Opening Smile At The Front Door Made Us Feel Right At Home.

My first time visiting this ACE Hardware store and happened to have my fiancée, her daughter, and my adopted son with me to go shopping for my soon to be step-daughters birthday. This was our first stop of the day and what a perfect start. From the moment we arrived, the guys made us feel welcomed and truly cared that we came to patronize their store. It is MY hardware store from now on! These guys got us in and out as I needed repair parts for my Stihl weedeater/trimmer. AND, AND, AND, We got the best grilled cheeseburger hot off a Treager grill!! Are you kidding me? These guys are the bomb! Had some laughs, took care of business, made some friends and off on our way too have a great day! Man, you can't get ANYTHING REMOTELY CLOSE TOO THAT FEELING from Lowes or Home Depot! Great job ACE Hardware! We will see y'all again very soon. Lol, but you do not have to feed us every time. Those were very good burgers and perfectly cooked.

Extremely friendly store. Jeremy helped me not only load heavy gardening bags into my cart, but also escorted me to pay and then reloaded them into my car. Very friendly and extremely mature young man, Ace Hardware he’s a keeper.

Went into ace the other day and the staff has fallen off. It is hard to get help from people like it use to he 6 months ago. Aaron was not helpful and acted really shady when I was looking at tools. Felt uncomfortable while shopping. Some employees were laying around on the swings and patio furniture in the store. Still have excellent employees like John yow and Kevin and Steven who are helpful when they are working but the staff they had when I was there just were not engaging and helpful. I miss the days when you go into a small hardware store and get good help.

Today if I could give this store a zero I would. I have been in this store before and received great customer service, but the last 2 times i have received the worst customer service from the same associate. Her favorite word is NO. She makes you feel as if you are bothering her. I came in to get glass cut and she said NO, I can only cut squares, I told her that is not what the website said. She just looked at me like I was stupid. While I was in the store, i decided to purchase some light bulbs that they carry and that the only other place, I can find them is on Amazon. She stated NO that they do not carry them any longer. I asked if they carried anything close to them. Her reply was NO. Again looking at me like I am stupid. Someone needs to either teach her customer service skills or take her off the sales floor. I decided to leave and just go and order off line at Amazon because I can get better customer service ordering from my computer that I was receiving in the store.
After reviewing the web site, I saw that they repair window screens. I called in hoping to get another associate, but again Miss Rude thing answered the phone. I told her that I had a window screen that I need to get repaired and I saw on the web site that they repaired them. Again NO, we don't do that. Time to find another retailer who wants my money.
