Our journey to witness the Northern Lights led us to Camano Island, and what an unforgettable experience it was! The one-hour drive from Seattle was scenic, setting the stage for the magic awaiting us. Upon reaching the island, we were greeted by the serene beauty of its beaches.

The Northern Lights display was nothing short of breathtaking, painting the night sky with mesmerizing hues. The lack of light pollution on the island enhanced the spectacle, making it even more enchanting. We found a cozy spot on the beach, wrapped ourselves in blankets, and watched in awe as nature performed its dazzling dance above us.

Camano Island proved to be the perfect escape from the city hustle, offering not only a glimpse of the celestial wonders but also a tranquil retreat by the sea. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a stargazer, or simply seeking a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend making the journey to Camano Island for an experience that will stay with you forever.
I know this visit was just for Northern Lights, but the beachside was welcoming, will visit again this summer!

Nice state park for camping. Pleasant hosts, nice facilities. Watering up facilities dicey, but functional at that park.
No beach access on entire south end? None of us could find any. Nice shoppes, pleasant drives.

Cama Beach ; No more cabins at Cama Beach for rent.
Park amenities are all shut down, no more boat house rentals, no more Cama Beach Store. It was a dead zone this past summer.
Trails and Beach are open .
Due to Septic System Failure, and also involved "The Sea Wall " erosion

Adorable!! I took my dad here. He’s from Utah. We had such a great time! Fun beach access. Quiet area with access to a lot of other great areas. 10/10 would recommend
