I’ve been looking at getting my 4Runner lifted before my Mule Deer Hunt in Eastern Oregon. I reached out to Black Label Metal in Hillsboro, to get my springs powder coated. These guys couldn’t have been any better, they addressed any questions that I had and delivered at the price and timeframe that I needed…if you are looking at getting anything powder coated, this is the company!

I did a DIY metal project and brought it to Black Label Metal and Kevin to get it sand blasted and powder coated. The customer service was excellent and the workmanship was fantastic. They worked with me on some last minute changes of work scope and delivered the project on time. Thanks Kevin!

My last interaction with this company left a poor taste in my mouth.

all I wanted was a 1/8" thick rectangular aluminum plate to be cut out to be an adapter plate for a custom sink, and to anodize it to look nice.

after giving measurments and even a 3D rendering, I waited over 4 weeks and when I reached out, I found out that Black Label just decided not to do this simple project do to being too busy. I'm mainly upset about the fact nobody reached back out to me, which seems to be a recurring factor whenever I work with them. The next thing I'm upset about is at how little actual time it would take them to cut a rectangular piece of sheet metal, but can't seem to get the time.

My first interaction with this company was good and bad.
Pros:
Did quality work for the most part. I will talk about the negatives further down.
Ultimately they did what I wanted mostly, which was customizing a pyramid PC case. The anodize and powder coating were done well.

Cons:
I had to keep reaching out to get updates on the project I hired them for, and keep making sure the ball is rolling. Overall it took over a month for the work.
Even though they had the radiators, installed and in the position they were going to be for reference to notch out for water lines, the notches were completely off when they cut the frame. I took a jigsaw and did that part myself. (to their credit, they reduced the cost of the project for this)

From my first telephone conversation with Kevin, I knew this was the place I wanted to do my work. It wasn't a large job but needed a 'shop' to do. It's not the easiest place to find but a very clean and orderly workplace which tells me that these are professionals who value their work. I was not disappointed. I brought my piece to them, discussed what I wanted done and it was made so in real time and exactly to what we had discussed. Any further metal work I need, Black Label will be my first call. Everyone was friendly and very easy to talk with. Price was right on what I had estimated. Good deal.

I needed a one off instrument panel made out of folded stainless steel to replace an existing rusted panel from an RV. These guys were able to take the old one and reproduce in stainless. It worked out to be a similar price to a new one from the manufacturer except the new one would also have rusted and I would have waited months to get it. Kevin is a great guy to work with - thanks so much to him and his team!
