Ordered their bone in wings with three different flavors. I’ve always been a fan of this place and their wings but the last few times I have gone they haven’t been great. They’re not bad, but not great especially for the price. Not super saucy and kind of dry and over cooked. Not to mention the bad service when going in to pick up our take out order. I could’ve had a nice sit down meal for the price of just these wings.

Steak was cooked perfectly if only it were seasoned. In fact, if only anything on our plates were seasoned. How you could have a bland steak that is perfectly cooked is beyond me but okay. Service also needed help. Teach your servers basic manners. I left feeling saltier than our food.

I've been searching for some good chicken wings and people kept telling me Bidwell Tavern so we gave it a try and I must say I'm upset that we didn't go sooner! We got the hot honey garlic and the complicated buffalo...both were delicious!! Not only were the flavors on point but the wings were very meaty and cooked to perfection!

We ordered tavern or 2 large with 4 sauce. I highly recommend terayaki sauce and oriental sesame or any kind of sesame. If any sauce with spicy taste, I think It will be perfect. I had a good experience here 😊

We opted to dine outside on the patio. Each table had a fan designed to keep the flies away from your food but they weren't much of a problem. The server was good. It was a beautiful late afternoon to enjoy the patio. I ordered a pumpkin martini for starters. I was disappointed by how small it was and that it came in a plastic cup but the martini itself was good. I ordered a salad which was very good but the plate it was served on made it difficult to cut the vegetables and mix the salad dressing. I ordered the baked, stuffed scallops. They came with rice and steamed vegetables. The scallops were very good but the rice had a pasty texture and was bland. I don't care for vegetables but I did like the green beans. I would come back again and try some other dishes.

Update: brought company to this restaurant and was very disappointed in the service we received. The server was very brusque and was not welcoming. When they could not hear what we were ordering, they practically shouted at us that we need to speak up. On the other hand, the food we selected this time was very good. I highly recommend the pot roast, stuffed mushrooms, clam chowder and of course the chicken wings.

This establishment has been around for a long time and is well known for their chicken wings.
I was very pleased with the chicken wings that I ordered, buffalo and bang bang. Size of the wings were good and meaty.
Unfortunately, I wish I could say the same for the entrées. Both entrées looked appealing but were on the bland side. The vegetables used in the entrees seem to be frozen and not fresh, which is a bit of a disappointment, considering the price. Portion sizes are large. The soup I had was excellent (Philly cheesesteak soup).
Service was great and the atmosphere was pleasant on the patio.
There is a little bit of parking next to the building but the larger parking lot is located towards the back.
I would definitely come back for the wings and soup, I do not recommend the prime rib or chicken bidwell if you want flavorful food.

Overall, a steady place to eat. I live in town and have seen it's ups and downs over the years. However, they remain steady and strong! A few hiccups here and there and weekends are insanely busy, but the food is delicious their waitstaff are all nice and professional. For a place with famous wings, even their salads and pasta dishes are delicious!

Cozy, historic blue collar place! Sunday around 3 was crowded but eventually got a seat. Food was DELICIOUS! Nachos were topped with a tasty jalapeno relish and were head and shoulders above other restaurants. Around our table we had blue cheese salad, burger, steak, jerk chicken tacos, chowder (it's thicccc) and french onion soup. Extensive beer menu, pretty light on the cocktail/booze menu. No baby changing stations, and bathrooms are tiny! Plenty of parking. Looking forward to returning next time we're in the area.
