I am writing this on behalf of my daughter. She went there, thinking that this program was gonna really help her because she Heard good reviews she have not even been there a month she’s afraid to come home. She was told that if she needed to stay longer, she can and now that her time is almost up, she felt like she did not get the care she expected to get she’s very nervous about leaving and she wanted to get an extension and she was refuse. Yes she was there because of her parole officer upon being there she really liked the place but then she quickly found out that when you are there because of our parole officer, you only get to spend 30 days that is not enough time in my opinion to help somebody she’d spend too many other program for 30 days and it doesn’t help. I do not even know who to reach out to because she’s afraid to come home because she needs additional help if anyone can help me, please respond to this. I’m very worried about my daughter. She’s been an attic for eight years.

3 1/2hrs was a bit much especially when you're already in withdrawal & have a 5yr old but I guess that's more of a ME issue than APT foundation. As a whole they are fabulous. Never had any issues, they are even extremely helpful when in a bind and have no transportation to get to clinic. I would recommend apt foundation for anyone looking to maintain long term sobriety

Whoever the sassy man who picked up the phone today at 10:30 was so unbelievably rude and unhelpful. Talked over me and was sarcastic. I won't be going here anymore.

Here is where I receive treatment with respect and compassion.
Here Is where I am changing my life!

Enough positive things just cannot be uttered about APT- especially the West Haven branch. The staff are simply awesome, their program is fairly administered and they are not sheep. While rules must be followed, they know life happens and they always work WITH me to find an equitable solution. They are professional, personable, compassionate and caring. The entire staff at the west haven branch should be commended and applauded for their consistently excellent client service. 👍🏼

I am fuming and very disappointed at how the staff at the west haven location can so easily have no compassion. My husband and myself have been going here for years, we have a friendly relationship with all staff and they know us well and then there is today when they were absolutely heartless. We travel from North Madison and my husband couldn’t leave work until 12, the traffic was absolutely horrendous and we got to the program a measly 4 minutes after 1:00 and they straight up refused to even look at or acknowledge us, let alone open the doors. Would it really have been so hard for them to just dose us so we don’t have to get sick over 4 minutes?!! Is this the compassion of healthCARE workers?!? This is just straight up wrong and uncalled for and now we only have two options that as an addict in recovery you don’t want to do either one.

Went to the apt foundation after leaving the root center to continue my maintenance program and couldn’t have been happier with the services from the very beginning. I got there at 11 and they took me right in abs got through the in take process fairly quickly. The nurses were great, the dr was very knowledgeable and also gave me second options as I told her I was looking to get off methadone. I couldn’t of asked for a better first time there and looking forward to meeting my counselor and hopefully living maintence free in the next year!

If i could give this plavce negative stars i would. My husband goes to the north haven clinic. Now there is a person there assigned to set up medical rides and have paperwork filled out for.veyo for the clients that require medical transportation to amd from there. Why everry 2 to 3 months my husbands rides arent in the system paperwork is overdue Its nonsense. I worked for logisticare booking these EXACT rides for clinics. They dont care about the clients all they carw about is the state mkney they get for these clients. Its sad. But in no way especially on a sat he doesnt have a ride to get dosed and they are closed on sunday. They arent goimg to like me monday

I go to the North Haven clinic which I love. The staff are great who care and help the ones who need it. It's a great environment as you don't see anyone selling outside the place. The other people are friendly and group is mandatory once a month, you can't just sign and go. I do group when I have time. Usually more then 1x cause I like it and need it.
You can manipulative the system if you choose but most likely you'll get caught and kicked out. They give you room and chances because if anyone knows better an addict should know best... ITS HARD! Nobody's perfect and people mess up. It don't mean that they don't want help. It means they struggle and need time. One day at a time.
Now I've been to Long Wharf obviously as that's the main place. It's definitely not as good as N. Haven. The staff always seem busy talking rather then medicating. Most seem rude. And alot of times they don't know what's going on. It don't seem very clean either. The doctors upstairs are morons. Especially Ed, he's the worst. Again, you have to wait for them to be done conversating about their dinner date before you get seen.
I've never been to the other clinics but I've heard about Congress. Another drug fly by. Before I was clean, I was told to just head there. Sad!
I've been to Hartford Dispensary in 2 different places. Bristol and Waterbury. Waterbury is so hard to get into.Have to be there by 500am and they only take 1 person a day. If someone comes from the hospital or is pregnant, they come first. Bristol, nobody cares about anybody there. The Dr denied me a month after I got out of detox and had me go through hoops to get in that place. Promised I would be medicated the day she denied me, had me wait for hours to tell me. They have 1 window and I saw the staff was angry and refused medication to everyone there. She list something and until it was found nobody was getting medicated. Honestly, in glad I didn't get in and had gone to the apt foundation where everyone was telling me to go. I didn't want to drive so far away. I'm happy where I am. I'm clean from heroin and pills for 10 months and I'm still working on the other drugs but I do pretty good. I don't even drink anymore. My last slip was months ago. If it weren't for the apt foundation I'd still be using or dead. So Thank-you ALL Staff members and Security at North Haven Apt. Foundation for all you have done for me and keeping a safe, clean environment.
