I bought another half a cow from friends who had them processed here. My experience (and my rancher friends’) was very different from other reviewers. My order included none of the organ meat I requested on my cut sheet. My filets averaged a little over 3 oz, packs of 2 strips were .7 lbs and had the ends cut off, packs of two ribeyes were barely over a pound and had all visible fat trimmed away. I was at my friends’ farm to help unload when they brought back the meat. They do a big restaurant business (16 oz ribeyes, 6-8 oz filets, etc), and almost none of the meat can be sold. It almost looks like the next generation of Andersons were practicing on my friends’ beef and ruined its value. THIS WAS FIVE COWS. When the grower called and texted pictures, instead of apologizing and adjusting their fee, Anderson insulted him and told him he doesn’t know his business. He’s been raising cattle for almost 20 years!

I have no idea why it went so wrong - I see the good reviews - but I have a freezer full of steaks processed by Anderson that look like they were cut with a lawnmower. It’s done now, but at the very least, they should stand behind their work. Growers tend these animals day in and day out in all kinds of weather, when they are sick or injured, when it’s Christmas or Easter. To have a processor ruin the meat is extremely upsetting.

They did some sausage for us, absolutely amazing!! I would highly recommend them and their prices are fair.

They could not be nicer or more helpful. This was my first deer and they explained how the cuts work, which ones I should get, etc. When I asked about the hide they even gave me an impromptu tour which was pretty awesome. They seemed super understandable and super nice even though they probably answer the same questions all day everyday.

If I ever get another one I will be taking it back here.

Anderson & sons meats and processing, Did a wonderful job with our beef. We love the packaging and neat cuts of the steaks. They are great people!!! Highly recommend, plan to use them year after year!!!
