I have used Anderson Irrigation for more than 20 years. They installed and maintained my irrigation system in my former home and in my current home. Dave is incredibly polite and responsive as are his employees! If you have any irrigation needs, I would highly recommend Anderson Irrigation! Five plus stars!

Based on recommendations from others, I changed to Anderson last fall and had my fall shut down service. This spring, I saw a hose had busted! I was in a forgiving mood thinking that bad things happen. I called 2 weeks ago for service for that and for many other heads that need to be replaced. His answering lady told me they would come in within 2 weeks. 2 weeks passed and no one showed up. I called today and she said, "you are barely our customer, we only served you last fall for the first time. We have customers of many years and they get priority! It will be another 4 weeks!"

Maybe this company was good at some point in the past and hence the reputation, but if this level of customer service becomes the norm for them, they are going down!

I am probably better off with someone who needs my business than someone who doesn't appreciate it.

Update: after multiple calls and finding out that as a result of a poor winterization service 2 pipes burst, 3 valves broke, numerous heads broke I got a call back from David and he was extremely rude. He said as I don’t have a contract with him he is not serving my system because I wrote the review and that he won’t take any responsibility for all the damage he caused. He hung up the phone! Strong warning to anyone thinking of using the service of this non-professional. I don’t know the real driver behind his poor behavior nor that I want to know but I think CT Customer Protection will have to investigate this.

Final Update: It turns out my issues with the system were not due to freeze damage. I found a large tree root chocking 3 zone pipes underground which caused damage to the backflow and to the valves due to back pressure. I repaired the lines, backflow and solenoid valves and replaced over 10 heads. Updated the controller panel to Hunter Pro-HC myself. Anderson lost over $3000 for declining the job. It cost me in the neighborhood of $500!

I raised the star rating to reflect that the damage was not his fault. But I would still not recommend this service due to the poor behavior of David and his assistant as well as the lack of responsiveness to a customer in need.

I used Anderson Irrigation for over 5 years and every year there was a problem with my irrigation system after turning it back on in the Spring when they were the ones who winterized it for me. This year I called Anderson Irrigation when there was water leaking everywhere from it in April. I called them 5x with no return phone call. Very unprofessional!

Owner is very kind, fast, thorough. New sprinklers installed at a great price and quickly. Our family has been using Anderson Irrigation in two homes for many many years. Glad we were able to use someone we trust and have confidence in the fact that the job was done well. Love the modern system they installed too. It's easy to use and also great for the environment and savings.

I called Anderson and left a message on Monday. On Tuesday I got a call from Dave and I provided my availability. He wasn’t sure when they’d be able to service our system. However, the very next day Brandon called to let us know he had arrived. In less than an hour Brandon and his assistant reviewed and inspected the entire sprinkler system, replaced a couple sprinkler heads, and provided recommendations for future lawn and system maintenance. Brandon was very friendly and professional and explained what he was doing as he worked. I look forward to seeing our lawn come back to life and calling Anderson when the time comes to winterize our system. Thanks guys!

My husband contacted them to have a sprinkler system installed. They were great to work with. He explained we were having our driveway redone so they had him bury pvc pipe so they wouldn't have to damage the new drive way. It worked out perfectly!!! Can hardly wait for next spring & summer my flower beds & his lawn will look amazing. I have nothing but great things to say about their work, they even vacuumed in my livingroom where they had to install the control box. 👍👍👍

I wasn't impressed with the level of professionalism from this company. Last week I called this company to schedule the winterization of the irrigation system of my new home because the previous owners used them. I asked that I get a call to give me a heads up as to which day they were going to come so that I could open my fence since they don't schedule appointments, they just arrive. When the technician arrived I was outside and he politely asked me to open the fence. I asked him what he does when home owners with fences aren't home, since they don't schedule appointments. He said that they go over or around them. 😐

The $100 winterization took 10 minutes. The technician then left the service ticket inside my mailbox, which is against federal law since only US Postal Service delivery personnel are allowed to put US postage-paid mail in mailboxes.
