This building was built to be a movie theater after the original Amboy theater burned down in 1951. I was unable to ascertain the year this theater opened but I did get an unconfirmed report that it may have opened in 1959. There is still a projector room in the front of the building. As television became more common place in houses the theater became less profitable and it had to close. By the 1970's it had become home to The Church of the Nazarene.

Today it houses the church which has service at 10:30 every Sunday and a small food bank that serves the residents of Amboy, Yacolt, and La Center.
