If approaching from Lynchburg, take hwy 29 down to clarion. My GPS had me on an hour and a half detour for absolutely no reason the first time I went here and tried again the second. Outside of that.

Load instructions say it requires a trailer washout. Both times I've been there, they tell me they don't care if it gets done. I'm not sure if that's policy or if its that shift is not caring.

Parking across the street and walking over by itself isn't a big deal. Doing it across a busy road at the end of a curve, no cross walk, or signage telling people to watch for pedestrians is insane. Just be careful.

They are appently notorious for overloading trailers according to the other reviews, and the truck stop up the road.

No overnight parking. The best options are the Walmart nearby if you want free parking and goldys travel center 10 or so miles north on 29 if you don't mind paying.

In general, it's a pain to deal with and get to if you're going for the first time.

The staff here were the rudest and most disrespectful people I’ve ever encountered. Especially if you don’t speak English well or your language skills are limited, they constantly try to handle things by yelling at you and treating you in a degrading manner. On top of that, even though there were no other trucks inside besides mine, they were rushing to force me out for no reason.

By the way, the parking lines are completely misdrawn — don’t even try to center your truck. You have to park all the way to the left or right; otherwise, you’ll get scolded for that too.

It’s amazing the petty shit that truckers put on these reviews. I was in and out. Everyone was pleasant to me, and I don’t even like interacting with people. It’s always amazing to me when the people that work at the yard are nice because most are not, at least in my experience. One of the easiest pickups I’ve ever done. If you don’t feel safe walking across the road on your own, then you probably shouldn’t be driving a truck.

Not enough room to park trailers if other trucks are in the lot. The fact that they make you park across the street and walk across the busy road with NO PEDESTRIAN PATH OR LIGHTING really ticked me off.
The guy at the window made a wet diaper seem more pleasant.

You also don’t need our phone numbers on paperwork. You have enough information to begin with on where the load is going, and if there’s issues, the company can call mine.

Ran late for my pickup ... About 7 hrs due to electrical issues but was given a door immediately...
When approaching.. don't just turn left into the Gate .. 2 different signs saying to park across the rd and hoof it to either shipping or receiving....
Idk about delivery... but for live loads , drop in whatever door given and bobtail across the st & wait for your call .. make sure you have truck and trailer license info on hand bcuz they'll need it ... Took roughly 2 hr to load me and I'm out the door ...

Nice people. Got me loaded in an hour. If you are picking up load from abbott then go through the clarion road. Once reached, park your truck in trailer parking and go to shipping office at the entrance of the building. If you load is ready they gonna give you door right away.after backing up to the door you need to unhook you trailer and you can park your truck in parking or go to nearby walmart:
