I ordered over $17k In materials, I get told a day that my lumber should arrive June 4th 9 AM so I have my contractors there. Nothing shows up 2 PM. My contractors call again lumber still not loaded up. My contractors have to leave my contractors. My lumber will be the first one on the truck leaving at 6:30 in the morning, june 5th My contractor show up no lumber. I call Alpine talk to the manager Phil. He said he would go check on what’s going on and give me a call back. I never get a call back. I called my contractors. They said they finally got over there and they were finally loaded up at 9:30 this morning. You spent 17 K and can’t even get a courteous call and tell somebody what the issues are instead you get a bunch of lies I think I would definitely go with another company even if I have to spend more money next time

Terrible customer service. Talked us around in circles and made us wait a week for a quote that the sales person said they had, we called again and the awful person answering the phone said they hadn't ever heard of the product ... I don't know who this company is hiring but they're all terrible. Go somewhere that doesn't waste your time and wants your money.

Really unfortunate trip to The Parker location. I’m not a contractor just a diy home owner looking to refresh an existing deck, showed up looking to compare materials and pricing and get some advise on what to order. Was hoping to order what I needed today! Doors are locked ( I believe due to social distancing which is fine) so I called the number posted on door, as 4 employees watched me through the glass stand there and pull out my phone. Expressed that I needed assistance and would like to place an order, was told that there is no one there to assist with loading. Informed that I would like delivery since I needed some larger pieces (16’ plus) so not an issue. Was rudely told that delivery was out for roughly 5 business days, and really trying to make it seem like he didn’t want the sale. When I said that delivery date would be fine and asked if I could look at some samples and pricing I was told that he doesn’t know any pricing due to the change in the market recently and that the only way to get pricing is to email a product list. I reiterated that I’m just a diyer and wouldn’t know exactly what to email and that if they don’t want my business I’ll take it elsewhere. Unfortunate, seems like a business many people would like to do business with, conveniently located, employee owned. But their website clearly is wrong when it states that front counter personal are willing to deal with walk in home owners.

I was a bit frustrated this time around. (I have used them before) Ordered deck materials to be delivered. Composition boards so this wasn't cheap. After the order our contractor stated I should get his discount. I went back in and they said they already gave me the best price. Really? No way to tell. I also had a few boards not needed so I returned them which went well. However, I mentioned I had clips left offer to hold the deck boards down and I was told they would take them back. Made a separate trip to return them and then told only full buckets. I agree with another poster that if I was a contractor I probably would have gotten better service.

As a residential customer you're not a priority and are ignored which is understandable as contractors keep them floating. For me, I'm no longer a customer. Too many times have I been told one thing over the phone only to find out they don't carry the product after driving in. While being the only customer in the yard, my last pickup took 30 minutes for someone to show even though I was waiting in the middle of the yard at the crossroads where I was passed multiple times. Furthermore, when trying to leave, I couldn't get out of the gates. I had to leave my vehicle and walk into the store front to find the gate monitor on her personal smart phone.

For an employee owned operation they give the impression of their being there is a favor.

Used Alpine Lumber of Parker on the recommendation of a contractor friend. Got decent service from the staff inside despite being bounced from attendant to attendant. Then was given a quote for 300 2x4x8 and 35 pressure treated 2x4x12. Price was around 70 cents more per board on 2x4x8. Not for nothing but I thought for good lumber out the door it was worth the cost. Delivery went great. Got the wood into basement and realized over half the delivery was edge cuts. Almost all the pressure treated was bowed and warped. At least 30 of the boards were miss cut and oddly shaped. 10 were split. Did I call them no! If you need to call a company to get them to deliver quality the second time they get 1 star!!

Very inconsistent communication and lack of professionalism. Every time I called this place I received very different information and employees would list off who they thought I talked to previously so they could throw that person under the bus for the incorrect information. The lumber yard itself is disorganized and forget asking if they know what they have because what one person says won't match what another one says and definitely won't match what's in the yard. Either way, I found something, asked for a price, built an estimate around that pricing, got it approved, called literally the next business day and the price was 50% more. They argued it was COVID. I've been running my construction business through COVID also and never once has a cost of supply gone up 50% in one business day. There is a shortage though and so I paid the difference at my own profit loss and they did not care at all, threw someone else under the bus obviously. Oh and the price they actually charged me was higher than what they said they were charging me on top of that. Didn't stop there though because why would it? They gave my contractor who I sent to pick it up grief too saying we needed an order number they never gave me. I wonder whose fault that was? Haha. Sounds to me like everyone needs to get fired or retrained, no one here knows what's going on.

Worst lumber yard in all of Denver. Expect the wait to be more than 30 mins for you to get your materials. If your lucky
