Paul has all 5-star reviews because we can’t give him more! I just “discovered” Alexandria Knife Sharpening and Laser Engraving a few months ago and it is amazing. I think knives are better than when they were new! Had 8 or 9 knives serviced including one I made in a forging class. Knife was useless for kitchen work until I turned it over to Paul. He had some creative ideas and I told him to go with them. I’m going to include before and after to show what a great job he did. The personalized cutting board with knife stand was so far beyond what I expected. He is a master at his craft and beyond. Oh also tested knife for lead!

My kids had bent the edges in some places and He made them straight and sharp.

The knives will be better to teach the kids how to cut now that they will not need to apply so much force.

I love how he packed them up.

I’ve had a few kitchen knives for ages and was looking to get them sharpened rather than replace them. ALX Sharpening is really amazing! My knifes aren’t fancy by any means but they’re sharper than when I bought them brand new. I love supporting a small and local business as well! As a first-time customer, Paul's website provided clear instructions for dropping off and picking up, and both were easy. The quality of his workmanship suggests that our knives had not been properly sharpened in a long time --if ever. Unhesitatingly recommended.

As a chef, people often assume I sharpen my own knives. False. The majority of chefs do not in my experience. Why? Because I am a chef, not a knife sharpening guru. I do not know anything about all the tools Paul uses nor do I have his natural skills in this area. I have sent my knives all over to have them sharpened but none of those services compare to the edge Paul has put on my collection of knives. They are sharper now than when I first received them and their new edges from Paul are holding up brilliantly to a lot of use. Paul is the real deal, his prices are reasonable, and his turn around time is great!
