I was locked up for 5 months here and all I have to say is some of the staff is ok, the rules are strict, but not that strict where I’ve seen kids run from here. The food is ok. But the treatment there is hard. Time to time you feel lonely, and if you tell someone they just put you on medication that’s the only really bad part.

I was here for a year & 6 months about two years ago for multiple charges. Some staff were Helpful as far as the therapist that we only seen once a week, but most of the staff were physically & emotionally abusive. I was released because I had a case against one of the staff there. Just make sure you check on your kids if they go. The program was long and they had us doing things that wasn’t pertaining to the reason we were there. It was a lot on my metal health.

I think this is the same place I was in in the 60s. We were locked up for 30 days for trying to escape. Never let out. The staff was nice. It really kept me off the street and out of trouble. Sent for 6 months finally got out free when I was 16 and 7 months pregnant. I ran away came back pregnant.I was there for the integration time the poor girls were so scared. We all became friends. I wish I could find my friends of long ago. All and all I think going there saved me. Losing my freedom was tiff. Hope you read this Brenda,JayJay . Skeeter

I spent many months here in the late 90s/2000s. Wouldn’t recommend. The rehabilitation is minimal and the staff weren’t very attentive. Several incidents happened while I was there. It’s a place for troubled youth to find friends that are just like them and that’s not cool.

I was locked up in maximum security dorm here in the mid 90's..Staff was brutal and saw several kids get teeth knocked out..I didn't see sunlight for 30 days and could only read old western books.They finally sent me to Pine Bluff training school.
