If you need anything made out of almost any kind of metal - aluminum, steel, brass, and more - Alcam is an excellent resource. I wanted a steel fireplace hearth to add a modern touch in a Victorian home - and Derek helped me from beginning ("Can I get a hearth cut to fit my fireplace?") to the end of the project. In fact, everyone I met there was knowledgable and helpful. I ended up getting a rolled stainless hearth and love how it turned out. I think they can make anything out of metal - and they're great to work with. Highly recommend!

Three years ago at a remodel project for a local church, I was asked to be the welder on a tube steel picket fence. Once I agreed I was almost instantly promoted to fabricator, material estimator, and purchasing agent. My assistant would be a retired railroad boiler maker. Our project superintendent was a commercial carpenter general foreman. Game plan was to produce 250 feet of new fence to match existing site rail. Most logistics started to come together, but finding a material supplier for sizes for tube steel, that was interested or able to help us wasn't as easy as we had thought it would be.
At our first recruitment meeting one church member, who was also a facility projects worker at Colorado School of Mines, said he knew a vendor near Golden, CO. After a week or so of chasing suppliers too big or too small, we remembered Jonathan's comments about the company that CSM used. We contacted and asked Jonathan about his supplier and he gave us the name and number for Alcam Metals. They were most interested in our project. had or could get our sizes and cut our parts to length, ie posts, horizontals, pickets, at most competitive price and in a timely manner. Our project had some design changes during install (all typical to our original order) and Alcam was willing and able to take and produce our lessor order, again in a timely manner.
During and after our church fence project, we had some small other projects that called for parts, ie 14 gauge stainless plates, 1 1/4 inch pipe for exterior grab rail, exterior wall rails and now another site tube steel picket fence with gate.
Though all my projects Alcam staff Derrick, Randall, Jordan, and more have taken my projects as seriously as I have. They have gotten me three Wagner wall rail brackets, called me back with availability and pricing. I got good service, good products and good people to work with. My experience with them is limited, but I know they have much wider scope of materials and services to offer. I highly recommend them for projects big and small.

Wow - not many places like this left - super service, super price, and super knowledgeable staff. I was just buying metal for a project today and they spent extra time on fab advice and making sure i would be successful. They have a pretty nice fab shop for projects too. I will be back.

These guys are great. We walked in with a piece of cardboard that we marked with a sharpie and asked if they could give us that, but made out of metal. 10 minutes later they handed us the cut piece, and the price was very reasonable. Really appreciated that they were able to do such a small and obscure project for us on the spot!
