What a nice and helpful guy! I called Al to see about hiring him to come out & take a look at our place for an independent assessment of our settling issues. He spent about 10 minutes with me on the telephone sharing his assessment of what I was describing. He CLEARLY knows his stuff and helped me understand what is happening and gave me some recommendations of places he likes that could help us. He said he gets no benefit in recommending these places and I believe him. I was so pleasantly surprised he freely he spoke with me. If I need work in the future in this area I will DEFINITELY hire Al.

Friendly, Thorough, and Efficient. The only guy you will ever need to assess the structure of your home.

I called Al on Thursday because I didn't know at what point I should be concerned about the cracks appearing on our ceiling. He was very friendly and made an appointment to come out Saturday morning. He showed up on time, brought out the famous 360 degree laser, and was extremely thorough on his inspection of the entire home, all while describing to us what he was looking for, what he saw, and the likely causes of the cracks.

He also did a thorough inspection of the outside of our home, patio, and porch. Not only was he looking at the foundation, he noticed the types of trees we had and their condition because from that he can tell what type of soil the house is built on and if they brought a lot of dirt in prior to building the home. He used his soil probe to check the depth of the foundation and described the extra steps the builder had taken and also told us the cause of our sinking concrete walkway.

After the inspection we got a write-up of everything he did/saw. The visit he made, although nothing was structurally wrong with the house, was well worth it because it gave us confidence in our home/build, and we also feel the minimal fee charged didn't even cover all the knowledge we gained from his visit. What an incredibly knowledgeable guy, anybody would be lucky to do an internship to absorb all he knows.
