Great experience! Katherine Talley was one of the most pleasant sales associates I've dealt with. The furniture selection was of nice quality, wide variety, and excellent prices! Furniture for every room in your home and plainly priced and a value you didn't feel like you needed to wait on a sale or haggle. Well worth my drive from the Huntsville area to Scottsboro, the smaller of two stores. The original, larger store, I've yet to visit, is in Ft. Payne.

Akins Furniture in Scottsboro was a wonderful experience. Terry was amazing and gave us a great deal. All of the staff are very kind and helpful and made the process buying furniture very simple and easy. The furniture delivery was a fantastic experience as well. They did a great job bringing it in the house and setting everything up perfectly. For anyone looking for great deals in North Alabama on Furniture I highly recommend checking out Akins Furniture at any of their locations in Scottsboro, Rainsville, or Fort Payne. A+ all the way.

Love the furniture & prices but scheduling delivery is a hassle. Only delivered to my area once a week and couldn’t give me a time window for delivery so I could arrange my work schedule to be there. It would just get there when it got there. Not all of us have someone that can hang out all day during the work week waiting on a delivery. Other furniture stores have always given us multiple days & time frames to choose from. Now, I’m spending my Saturday figuring out how to get three bedroom suits home & requesting a delivery fee refund.

Please see Terry if you go to Akins Furniture. He is an Awesome salesman!! We went to a few other places in town, but no one helped us like Terry! We had what we wanted in less than 30 minutes! You will not be disappointed.

They had a nice selection and had the furniture displayed nicely. There was only 2-3 other customers in the store, so it wasnt over run with business around 10am. My wife and I walked right past the front desk (where employees were sitting). We were never greeted by any employee nor asked if we needed any help with anything. Granted they gave us a chance to browse their inventory without being pushy or overbearing but, if you are selling a product, at least acknowledge your customers, if you want to make a sale. The lack of customer service is the ONLY reason for my 3 star rating.

Very unfriendly staff, (if you can find someone). I have visited the store several times and it's always the same. If the other locations are like the Scottsboro store, I really don't know how they stay in business! Never once was I greeted, nor offered any assistance!
Therefore, I will take my business elsewhere. Jones-Light Furniture in Stevenson or the Furniture Store in Henegar!
