Mike and Tony helped us with a Mendota fireplace this year. They are knowledgeable and straight forward with planning and pricing. I noticed other reviews stating the staff was rude, however I found that they sprinkle in some humor and perhaps it is being misunderstood. The pandemic came with a lot of difficulties, so a bit of facetious humor, for me, kept it light. Ultimately, I'm glad I chose to work with them and am satisfied with my fireplace. Plus, our dog loves it too.

I recently had a great experience working with Mike, a true craftsman at his job. I needed a new fireplace surround, and he guided me through the various choices, offering pros and cons of different models. When my order arrived, it hadn’t been packaged properly, and parts were loose/bent (not visible from outside the fireplace though) Rather than send it back and reorder (which would add who knows how long to the project), Mike worked for hours on the installation to make it work. The finished surround looks beautiful, no one would ever know it didn’t arrive in perfect condition. And for his dedication, poor Mike was rewarded with a long drive home at midnight on a cold and rainy night!

This place is great. We just bought a new grill; Mike offered great customer service, was extremely helpful, and delivered our amazing grill care with care. Would highly recommend ACME stove if you need a new heating stove, fireplace / insert, accessories, or even a grill.

The negative reviews on google do not add up and honestly do not seem fair given how great our experience was. Yes, this place gets busy, and you may have to wait until one of the sales representatives are free. Honestly, that’s a good sign that this place is reputable especially given we had to wait for a repeat customer who was buying another fireplace to finish up and they had nothing but good things to say on their way out. Both Mike and the other rep (Tom?) were extremely nice to the customers when we were there. A few other negative reviews do not even appear to be related to ACME Stove.

I bought a top of the line wood stove insert from Tony at Acme’s Fairfax store in December 2017. I came into the store with measurements of my existing fireplace & Tony was able to tell me my options for the size of my fireplace. I went in the first week of December, the Fireplace Xtrodinair was ordered & installed before Christmas without the custom ordered front being installed. Needed the wife to be able to see her Christmas present. Just got a call from the store and the installers are coming back to install the custom front. Very happy with the product & very happy with the service from Tony & all of the folks at Acme as well as their installers.

I have purchased a total of two wood burning insert stoves and three natural Gas Stoves from Tony at Acme Stove Company for the three homes i have owned in the area, and the product they offer, and the information provided and the installation have been outstanding. There is no where else in the DC area that i would buy a wood/natural gas stove from than Tony at Acme. They have an amazing showroom - go see it and they are knowledgeable and give you great insight into the pros and cons of wood verses natural gas. They can get busy, especially on a Saturday so it may take a few minutes for Tony or Mike to get to you and address your questions. When they are focuses on a customer, they don't rush you and they answer all your questions. Some might get upset if they are not getting to them at that minute but I appreciate their focus on the customer. Visit them during the week if you demand their full attention right away.
