Red gawk is not a great company. I’m not sure I would use them again. We built our own home and used them for our fire protection. Things started off badly when after we had paid a deposit for them to do our work. We were told it would take several weeks to get a permit and complete the design. When that time period was getting close my wife emailed then called to confirm a starting date. No answers. Then both of us called and left messages for Rachel the project manager assigned to our project to please update us. No answered emails or voice mails.
Finally I left a nasty message that I would expect a full refund of our deposit since it appears we were being abandoned.it was then that I finally received a call back and was given excuse after excuse and lied to.

Fast forward, the system was installed and we did pass the Fire Marshall’s inspection. At the end of my project they came out and trimmed out the heads to complete the job. And that went fine except their technician forgot to open the valves charging the system. Had I not noticed our house would not have a functioning fire protection system.

In the end we got what we paid for. I think. Hopefully we will never have to find out that the system works. They are just a hard company to do business with. As a retired construction manager I understand work loads and backlogs in scheduling. But that is no excuse for lack of communication. It’s really not hard to pick up the phone and return a call. It’s not hard to update a customer.

Came home to a pump running the other day for my home sprinkler system. I ended up calling red hawk for service. Brook the dispatcher was polite and helpful. She dispatched a truck from Marysville wa to eatonville wa. A bit of a drive but ok. During the conversation she explained to me that it would cost me 135 for him to show up. Minimum of an hour. After that of course I pay per hour. He shows up and was professional. Unfortunately he didn’t know how to work on my kind of pressure switch. We got it to shut off after about ten mins. He took pictures and left. Here comes the fun part. I get a bill a week later for 564 dollars. Not only did they charge me drive time but also an extra 50 dollars for the truck. So I emailed her to ask what was going on. You know for ten mins of time I think getting paid 135 dollars wasn’t to shabby. She fixed it and said she thought I was outside there service area. So drive time was added. Great I was happy until I get the next bill. 345 dollars. Now it’s a minimum of two hours and still the 50 dollar truck time. Needless to say I’m not happy about it at all. Not only was it explained to me that the minimum was an hour but nothing was discussed about a 50 dollar truck charge. I don’t recommend this company at all. Yes they were polite but if you want to be charged out the ass pardon my expression go right ahead. I HIGHLY Recommend shopping around. Never will I use this company again nor should you. Hidden charges. 345 dollars for ten mins. I can handle the 135 dollar charge.
Never again.

This is a company run with integrity. Anyone telling you otherwise is either nearsighted without the information needed to judge what construction company standards should be, has unrealistic expectations or is downright lying.
