While the upgrade is is nice unfortunately this place is only great when there is an event.

Before the pandemic this place would be filled with older Hispanic men gossiping the the day away. Now it's just homeless people who do nothing but loiter on the benches while using. Yeah the park ranger and police come in to make them disperse, but it's just not the same.

Was there for the Cinco de Mayo festival with the fam. Kids had a good time, food was great as well as the performances. It was our first time going and we're looking forward to next year too

Always expect 20+ homeless sitting on the benches and/or sleeping on the ground.
