Our first experience visiting this place and loved it! The sample table was awesome! It gave us an idea of what to buy. We also purchased their Marion berry cinnamon rolls and a flat of fresh peaches. Can’t wait to make some peach cobbler crumble! We would definitely recommend this place!

Enjoyable place to go and visit!! Far enough yet close enough to Hood River. The scenic drive is beautiful.

There is the cherry picking. Delicious cherries!! Great for kids who love playing in the sand , feeding the goats , riding the barrel horses and enjoying the tricycle track!

Even better is the store for the adult beverages and also all the jams and jellies that you can sample. Plus it allows you the opportunity to enjoy being outside in the sunshine.

Customer service is great , very nice and informative. Go out and support the Orchard.

I had so much fun here, so many jams, honey, and dips to sample here! They’re all super delicious. They have many interesting flavors. A lot of fresh fruits too, very affordable if you get the flats. I tried the huckleberry ice cream and apple cider slushie, both so good! The bakery items look yummy as well.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I stopped by the bakery on
my way to Mt. Hood for some
pears and sweet treats.

The bakery has a large
selection of jams, cookies,
pies, picked vegetables, empanadas, and much
more.

You will find marionberry
Cinnamon Rolls, chicken
pot hand pies, milkshakes,
Apple cider, and peach pies.

I selected a pumpkin chocolate
chip cookie, a huckleberry
empanada, Apple cider, and
some red gem pears.

The pumpkin chocolate chip
was moist with good taste.

The huckleberry empanada
was not too sweet and had
a rich fruit taste.

The orchard has two locations,
the Farm Place holds events
like the fall festival.

Located on Oregon 35, about
eight miles from Hood River
on the Mt. Hood Scenic Loop.

A nice place to stop for a
wide variety of baked goods,
seasonal fruit, and much
more with friendly service
and nice views of Mt. Adams.

We went to Packer Orchards and Bakery and their fruit was the best quality and price we found in the Hood River area. We got a box of Alberta and a box of White peaches. The bakery products all looked amazing, but once we got them home and tried to enjoy them the next morning for breakfast, we realized that not only were they not fully cooked and very doughy and pasty, but their bakery products are made with poor quality ingredients like margarine and shortening and it reflected in the poor taste of the bakery products. We purchased the Apple pull-apart bread and it was also very undercooked, but not as bad as the cinnamon rolls, just bitter in taste. I think the health department should take a look at their baking standards, because as raw as the cinnamon rolls were, I think someone could get sick because they have them on the shelves for some period of time. We re-baked the cinnamon rolls covered with foil for an additional hour, and an additional 15 minutes uncovered at 350 degrees and the middle was still a little doughy, but at least we could eat them without gagging on the slimy dough. They cover them in a lot of frosting so you couldn't see how raw they were until you bit into them. I would have given them a 1-star if not for the other positives of our experience. The staff was nice and their overall display of products and atmosphere was good. We also purchased a berry and peach empanada, and two cookies and although we haven't tasted them yet, they look to be well baked, but again they have shortening and margarine listed as ingredients. We were thinking about buying a pie, but $27 for a pie All of their bakery items seem very overpriced, but it is a tourist area. We were very disappointed in the bakery products that we've tried, but the peaches were great in flavor, quality and price with two boxes of peaches for $20.

The empenadas and baked goods were fresh and delicious. Without a doubt some of the best pie pastry I've ever had. Loved all the free samples of preserves and pickles.

The baked goods smell when you walk in is intoxicating. It is an excellent place to grab fresh baked goods, jam and pickles. There are samples to help you decide what you like best. In the summer, enjoy fresh fruit from the orchards. A must visit location in the valley.

Get yourself a fresh seasonal friut shake, and drink it with mount hood (I think) right in front of you. The view was amazing. There are loads of free samples. Different honey, peanut butter, sauces, breads, pastries. All delicious. Lived the buckwheat honey. Kind of dark with an undertone of coffee/espresso and still sweet. Absolutely worth the drive, trust me!
