we've called 2 times after talking to the owner in person said he may be able to get us in to get a hog butchered within 3 weeks now we call they say we will check and call you back they still haven't returned our call rather hear something than nothing at all

Update!!!! No bad review left a 3 out of 5 actually loved the sausage was just wondering why there was no info given how you replied today which is very understandable and completely fine! But again no bad review thought the sausage was terrific!!

Thought at first was a good place. Opened up a pound of burger. Frost bit bad, looked and smelled old. Very disappointed. Hog was disappointing also. Big difference in weight of meat from the first and I gave all the sausage away. It had a very bad taste. My mother who received the other half agreed and had thrown hers away. Never will go back.

Rob and Diane have amazing meats!!! They are both very friendly and good down to earth people. With the latest meat shortage I can guarantee you if you call them they should have some sorta meat for ya. The steaks we got were fresh and delicious

We used another local WV meat processor in 2018 and they refunded 3/4 of the cost due to lost meat, bad meat and long waiting period.
So we thought R&D Meats would be better, well it is mixed results.
2019 four pigs, first go round family members were not impressed with a least half of their orders. Pork chops tasted old, some bacon smelled horrible, some ok, some sausage was ok, some bad taste, hams were the decent cuts.
2020 four pigs better results, but still some disappointing cuts and tastes. Half of the sausage tasted old, some of the bacon was good, some smelled bad. Pork chops and hams were good.
Family owned WVDA Inspected yet still have issues.
Tempted to process and prepare our selves, we already do chickens, so maybe pigs?
2021 We have five pigs to be processed and prepared, not sure which meat processor we will go with?

They lost our ham we had smoked and didn’t receive our ribs, along with a few other peoples we took. (I love their maple sausage) but this disappointed me! Maybe just not organized?

Well I'm very disappointed in my getting all my meat back. I'm still have not received my ham that was lost its been over a month and still no response back to where its at.
