This organization raised over $25000 last year (2022) for an LGBTQ signature event that would support gay youth by several very generous community donors ($5000 per donor). When asked how this money was being spent they declined answers, repeatedly, for several months. 2023 is almost over - what event happened? There was one event at a community pool that I could find where they watched mean girls at a community pool in June (which was not really advertised - how do people find out about these things?) - and I am sure this was not a $25000 expense. They are doing another "Gala" soon to raise more money - don't be conned by them like I and several others were. They do not use the money as they say. They do not answer questions honestly. They cancel meetings. They dont care about the communities they claim. In one of my discussions I was told that they are trying to focus on immigrant integration and that LGBTQ programming interferes with that. Well - dont raise money for one thing and use it for another - that is ILLEGAL WCCDA! I am going to do everything I can to make sure this organization is held accountable. In the meantime - they cant be trusted to use funds as they say. Most of the money they rely on comes from government grants and those will be drying up shortly.

EDIT: Aaron Garcia contacted me today and confirmed they used my donation in a manner I was not asked about or approved of - just as I suspected. The combined events, where my donation was given (and legally restricted) to the LGBTQ Signature event. This is a misuse of funds. I have been in contact with the AGO, awaiting confirmation and I am going over legal options to prevent this mistake from happening again. If you are interested in donating to this company - think twice (or more) about how they will be using that donation. They do not understand what restricted means and I have it in writing!
