Cowlitz County District Court employees must loathe their jobs to be so curt, and use a tone on the phone that is like nails on a chalkboard, and look down their nose at those who approach their window with questions. It's as if they've all been brainwashed by a cult to believe that everyone (but them) are guilty just because they're standing in front of them... The same goes for a specific Judge, and a specific law group that Judge endorses. But, no conflicts of interest there. Hmm? Let me just say... EVERYONE in this Court depends on the ignorance and fear of the accused and they will ruin your life if you let them and do not stand up for yourself and demand justice. Of course, cowlitz county is the only county I have ever lived in where they do not provide its residents and citizens of Washington State a Law Library that they can use free M-Sat 9 to 5 so they can defend themselves, file forms themselves, or just get educated about Washington State laws. That in itself is criminal in nature. But, ignorance of the law is unacceptable. Well... there's your truth about COWLITZ COUNTY WASHINGTON AND ITS COURTS, JUDGES, EMPLOYEES in a nut shell. 😳

Very confusing. The entrance is practically in the back as it faces the river and not the main road. Didn’t know how to reach the clerk’s office without the security guard explaining. The clerk and security guard were very helpful and friendly

Stay clear of cowlitz county, they will have it court ordered that you check in every week with offender services even though you haven't been convicted or adjudicated for them. Also no consistency with how the presiding judge picks and chooses who gets taken into custody and who doesn't on outstanding warrants. Do your research about the laws and state statue before ever pleading guilty to a charge. The Courts of cowlitz county and the judges are not to assign specific attorneys to represent you but they do

Twice today I have called this court house to get basic information. And twice two different people answered and were extremely rude! If you hate your job, get a new one! No one is forcing you to work there! Seriously! Misery loves company doesn’t it!!

No fair trials here. They will allow charges against you with no evidence and destroy your life and reward the accuser even if it's false alligations. They prefer that you lie in court to take a plea bargain and if you fight the charges they make your life so complicated that suicide seems appealing. As long as we do not have fair trials there are bad people that learn how to use the courts to gain from. Kelso courts have destroyed my life along with many others before me that are not free to leave reviews.

It was court.
It wasn't good.
It wasn't bad.
It was just necessary.
Take the stairs. The elevator is old. Be patient when you go thru security.
District Court is to the left.
Superior Court is to the right.
If filing paperwork with superior court you have to be there by 4:15 and taken a number to be seen that day. Otherwise you'll have to wait until the following business day.

I went to court yesterday to dispute my traffic ticket. The cop said he saw me with my cell phone in my hand texting in a school zone while looking down. In which my phone was not next to me. My sister was on my phone while she was sitting in the passenger seat. I never admitted to the cop that I was at fault. When I addressed it to the judge she said that she didnt believe me. I also told her that the cop wrote down the wrong model of my car on his ticket. He got the car right in his statement. Also the cop did not show up. The judge said that doesnt matter. So in other words if anyone gets pulled over with there passenger using the phone it doesn't matter and if the cop writes down the wrong car. you would still have to pay for it. It states that if the cop makes any errors on your ticket or if the cop doesnt show up it would get dismissed. My case was not dismissed and I still have to pay for the ticket.
