So We purchased a fair hog and had it sent here they gave it away to a food bank and said they would replace it. Oh they gave us a smaller market hog the type of pork you get in the grocery store things are miss labeled and we asked for Italian sausage and got breakfast sausage they said they would fix and didn't had to fill out cut sheet twice couldn't get anyone on the phone. Hopefully with time they get better.But I'll stick with Butcher boys or Matts. I reading some of the reviews I hope he isn't selling cow and is selling steer. I would expect a good butcher to use the proper terms of the trade.

My wife and I began shopping here a few months ago in effort to buy locally sourced meat. The customer service from the employees and owner was awesome. We were able to come in and get their advice on which cuts are best used in recipes and were provided with additional ideas. The meat we buy here is always fantastic! We always cap off our shopping with a handful of Snack Sticks (love jalapeno/cheddar) and some Jerky (Hobo is our fave). This stop has quickly become part of Sunday shopping routine!

No matter how many times I have gotten confused while purchasing our half cow or our quarter cow, the girls have always been polite and professional 🥰

Came for their soft opening and walked away with jerky, pepperoni sticks, and breakfast sausage. Everything is so good. The pepperoni has a bit more kick to it which I very much enjoy. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. I’m so excited to see this place thrive in woodland.

The prime Christmas prime rib was undercut and overpriced.
The 1/4 cow ended up being mostly ground beef, and nothiing special despite what you told me in the email. You charged me well over what Matt's would have charged and the meat is nothing special. Planning to go back to Matt's in Longview from now on.

Bought some “Dino Bones” recently and they were fantastic! High Quality Grass fed Beef with the right amount of marbling! If you want quality, I recommend McPhee’s. It was worth the drive from Vancouver WA.

Posting this review way too late. Really really hate leaving 1-2 star reviews at small businesses.

I had two quarter cows sent here at two different times. First was good, second was not.
Beef seemed to be oxidized, I don't think it was from my storing it but could be wrong and sorry if I am.

The worst of it was I could not eat any of the ground beef which usually is a fair portion of a quarter. The first or second roll I cooked ended up having two pieces of metal in it. One a gun metal grey nugget about the size of a small pea that looks like it chipped off something and the other a more silvery metal shaving.

They were EXTREMELY difficult to get to take seriously. Stupidly I did not take pictures and was not the most responsive that was on me. I did however offer to return all the ground beef which was still frozen in return for cash for the ground beef portion or replacement ground beef and so that they could investigate. They said they would replace it but never did, citing I did not respond to the offer to do so. I acknowledged to them that may have been possible as I was changing phones and life was very involved at that time so it could've slipped through the cracks and asked them to send a screenshot where they reached out to which point they ignored me.

Honestly could have sued, maybe should have but didn't have the time. Should've at least left the review for the public and for that I'm very sorry I admit didn't do my part in this either to whoever else potentially encounters a similar situation. However I leave this one star because they seemed from the beginning very unwilling to investigate or make right despite my willingness to ask for only replacement of the ground beef only which benefits me nothing and costs me a long car ride up to them.

I hope you change your business practices and know I write this most unwilling and unpleasantly yet that it's been on my conscious to do so for some time. Wishing the best for your business as odd as that sounds.

Stopped in and picked up some choice ribeyes today - grilled them up and they were delicious!! Highly recommend this clean well stocked butcher shop.
