A must when you're in Spokane! Great food--never had something I didn't like or at least appreciate. I have a gluten sensitivity/allergy and it RARELY acts up here. Their bread is phenomenal, so fresh.

Faves: Nelson cookie, chocolate croissant, any loaf of bread, avocado toast, turkey on turkey sandwhich.

We've loved The Grain Shed for ages; it's a very special place. Bakeries that prioritize local grain and naturally leavened baking can be hard to come by, so we feel very lucky to have this gem in our neck of the woods. The food is delicious and service is excellent. There is tremendous care put into connecting people with thoughtfully sourced/crafted and nutrient-dense food.

Our favorite treats are the bacon, egg, and cheese on a biscuit (weekends); pepperoni pizza (Mondays); Pain Suisse; and The Nelson cookie, though everything we've had has been super tasty.

The service is fabulous! The team is full of really excellent human beings who are enthusiastic, efficient, and kind when engaging with customers.

Some folks think it's expensive, but it is superb quality and the prices fairly and equitably reflect the quality of the ingredients and the labor of the farmers and bakers involved. We know that when we stop by, our tummies and taste buds will be happy, we'll see some great people, and that we're investing in our regional food system in an impactful way.

Grain shed is one of our go-to breakfast/brunch spots on Sunday! Everything I’ve ever ordered is amazing. Homemade bread and pastry by the best staff! Friendly, familiar faces every week. It’s easy to make substitutions for vegetarian friendly food 🙂

Delicious! The ham and cheese croissant was the best I have had since my trip to France! I purchased the white bread lunch box loaf- light airy and super soft with a nice crust. I also purchased the Turkey Red- super crusty and soft airy inside. The flavor was light and delicious. This is a gem of a bakery. A hidden jewel the Perry district must be proud to have in their neighborhood! Hand sliced and the customer service is top notch. Be sure to check out their website and plan for the days they make specialty breads.

I ordered a turkey sandwich with some fixings, and a ham sandwich with cheese mayo and mustard. Turkey sandwich was awesome, lots of turkey, avocado and it was cold…great!! Ham sandwich was toasted with two super thick pieces of bread and one slice of ham and two pieces of cheese. I never said I wanted a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. I just don’t get why a deli sandwich turned into a toasted ham and cheese. One slice of ham. Waste of money. This is the second time I ordered a ham sandwich and got a toasted cheese with one slice of ham. Won’t go back. We bought three sandwiches a loaf of bread and olives and it was $75.00. Ham sandwiches were pathetically disappointing. To charge 17.00 for that is ridiculous.

I tried the Breakfast Sando this trip; a delicious combo of a pork cutlet, egg, fresh greens and cheese perfectly seasoned on thick artisan sandwich bread. It was really enough for two considering I added ginger molasses cookie. Live music added to the complete coziness.

I only visited once, so my review is off what I got...wasn't able to try their other breads/sandwiches! The atmosphere is casual bistro and service was friendly. The chocolate croissants were fine, and the ginger molasses cookie was a tad too spicy for me, but still good!

The Grain Shed has the very best breads and pastries in Spokane. Their beer is also fantastic! They use high quality ingredients and you can taste the difference! Everything here is just great. We don’t live in Spokane anymore but always swing by on our way through. I highly recommend going here if you haven’t! Make sure to get here early if you want bread, it sells out fast.
