Went to Tims Saw Shop in Taska the new management and new people jack you around like crazy. I had a lawnmower for my mom taken in a month started calling them to get it out. They don’t know what’s going on. They had a belt to change and that is it and I called her two days before they said they’d have it done on Thursday go in on Thursday and it’s still not done they said one more thing and needs to be fixed and jacked me around for that and told me to sit down for a half an hour and they’d have it fixed, don’t come here. The new people suck.

Tim has retired and the business is under new ownership as of early June 2023 (it may be earlier but that's my experience). Folks are very nice but here's my recent experience: bent the straight shaft on my FS130 so I brought it for shaft replacement. Had planned to keep the machine until parts came in and replace myself, but they were insistent on keeping it and replacing when the parts came in. Okay. Had msg 3 days ago it wasn't ready for pickup. In addition to the shaft and associated parts they wanted to charge me for a new carburetor and labor. When I called them on it, they said they couldn't get it to start, so they replaced it... I said I wouldn't pay for parts/labor I didn't approve. So, I was informed that I got a free carburetor, to which I replied no, if you're giving away free carbs I'll take one. Otherwise if you could show me where I requested it I'd be happy to pay for it. They couldn't.
The new ownership is very friendly and accommodating, but be on the lookout for upselling. I've nothing against small businesses trying to make a living but watch out for businesses trying to take advantage...

The owner is very knowledgeable and a good man. I am sure it can be frustrating dealing with the general public these days, and he is old school and a little gruff some times, probably for good reason. Some of the more modern types of people might not get it (for example if you expect Tim or anyone else to wear a mask?)probably better get some more oxygen to YOUR brain

They screwed me the last time I went in. I was surprised, it's been great up until then. Charged for parts that weren't replaced. Installed a pull cord that is too short, that I told them I could replace. Also snowblower stopped running after about 3 minutes, now runs rough on half choke only. So disappointed. The owner is a great guy.

This shop is your last stop. You arent going to find someone who is as honest or passionate about what they do. You may not always like the reality of a situation but they dont lie, tell you straight and offer real solutions to your issues. I cant picture myself wanting to go anywhere else to purchase a saw or any of the other things they have to offer. I think the prices are reasonable for what you are getting, which isnt just the hardware.

Not fancy but will keep your saw running with most of your cash still in your wallet. Not the friendliest folks but honest and straightforward. I have always had a positive experience here and will continue to shop here

Was also screwed the last time I went in. Was charged $130.00 to replace a generator pull cord that was less than 6 months old as well as take of an issue with it not wanting to start. Now (after being told it "only needed gas") the engine light is coming on. After speaking with Generac, I'm taking it to a different shop. Tim's has lost a customer, but I have the feeling he doesn't even actually care.

Very rude owner. Employee told me one thing over the phone... owner contradicted when I came in. Owner wanted to fight me in the parking lot. It felt like I was at a rowdy bar!!! He definitely lost a customer.
