Since I've started living here I've had a really good experience with the management team, specifically Asia who I've worked with a lot. She's been extremely helpful with things I've had questions with. The location is great with Safeway right across the street and some really good restaurants nearby. Having the light rail station is incredibly convenient and makes it easy to travel around Seattle!

The property is very nice. The amenities are well placed and plentiful, gym, theater, public kitchen area for events. Not enough residents take advantage of the different spaces. There is a nice park across the street. I have seen many of the apartment homes in the area and this one is by far the best. It is right next to the light rail, so very easy access to downtown and to Seatac. The diversity of the residents is nice too. The only thing I wish to change is the garbage collection area by the church. This may be outside of there control, but it takes away from this property.

I have been forced to escalate a situation publicly because of Assembly 118’s mismanagement. When moving out of my old unit, the team did not properly document and submit my exit paperwork, leading to a significant billing error - and financial and emotional stress on my end. Despite sending multiple emails, visiting in person, and calling, I was ignored. The voicemail inbox was full, and the leasing office staff failed to act until I escalated to corporate.

This negligence isn’t new—in October 2024, there was a tragic incident in the building involving drug use, which led to the death of an infant. While I was working out in the morning, I had to let medical personnel and investigators into the building, yet no acknowledgment or support was offered to me or other residents. Fortunately for the staff, they were granted the next day off for their own trauma, leaving residents to process the event alone.

The location of Assembly 118 is great and the units are clean and spacious. However, living here comes with unnecessary stress, and I am now having to pressure management both publicly and through corporate channels to resolve the issue. I expect better accountability and service for residents.

Update as of December 9, 2024:
Unfortunately, my experience with Assembly 118 and Thrive Communities has only gotten worse since my original review. Despite assurances and handwritten notes (all saved and documented) from their team indicating that mistakes would be corrected, significant discrepancies remain unresolved. Their internal communication and follow-through have been shockingly poor, and their handling of my move-out process continues to create unnecessary stress and frustration.

The lack of accountability and professionalism at every level of this organization is deeply concerning. I’ve tried addressing this matter directly with both the local management team and the executive team, yet I am still waiting for a clear resolution.

This situation highlights a broader pattern of negligence and mismanagement, which other current and prospective tenants should be aware of. While the building itself has its merits, the ongoing issues with the staff and corporate oversight make it difficult to recommend living here.

I’ll update this review again if and when this matter is resolved.

Update: 12/18/24. At least Cesar, the maintenance guy, is helpful. He is a magic man who fixed my garbage disposal with no issues and with an amazing response time. Assembly 118 needs more people like Cesar around this place, who actually get stuff done!

The weight room has multiple problems and over the last 3 months no repair or updates on the status.
If it were me, I would be transparent and deliver any news, good or bad.
Customers do not like being left in the dark about what's going on and they would appreciate bad news than nothing at all.
It just leaves a feeling that whoever is in charge is lacking accountability.

Anh Dao was an incredibly helpful and supportive presence during my entire move-in process. From the very start, he assisted me with all the paperwork, making sure everything was in order and that I understood all the details. What really stood out, though, was his willingness to go above and beyond by helping me carry in my bedframe, even though it wasn’t something he was required to do. His kindness and dedication truly made a difference, and I felt completely supported throughout the process.

Beyond the move-in, my overall experience at the apartment complex has far exceeded my expectations. The quality of the apartments, the amenities, and the customer service have all been fantastic. The entire staff, including Anh, has made this transition smoother than I could have imagined. If you're considering moving to this complex, I would absolutely recommend looking deeper into it. It’s been a great experience so far, and I’m confident you’ll find the same level of care and attention to detail.

My move in experience from beginning to end was amazing. Jalaia was very helpful in helping find a unit I could see myself living in. She was also very helpful when it came to my application and corrections.

If you’re reading this - DO NOT MOVE HERE.

This is a staff, that could not manage to tie their shoes, if you posted an instructional video.

We are moving out 11/26. They found a way to mismanage a move out. Not even addressing maintenance NOT fixing your requested repairs, or ROACHES, this is an apartment you will often at times wonder, what are you paid to do?

On 11/5 I woke up to discover my FOB not working. Driving home from work I called staff to alert them so I could enter my apartment I pay 2,000+ for. After 5 missed calls I arrived to my apartment complex to see two staff members standing around the phone 🤡. The Issue was because they deactivated my FOB not paying attention, TO THE LEASE THAT ENDS 11/26. Just how bad are you? I PAID 2k, I don't miss payments, Just how do you mess up what you would think to be...YOUR JOB.

Not being disrespectful, I actually don’t think they can comprehend the task at hand, which makes me question the hiring manager. If this is what Seattle’s work pool has to offer, I would suggest the hiring-manager fire staff and seek third party outsourcing, because in person physical staff is by far causing you guys unnecessary funding.

After getting my FOB activated no apology whatsoever lol, I was able to enter my apartment and park my car which, which we have two, and pay $500 for parking. Save your money and move elsewhere, to pay for amenities you don’t receive is money down the drain.

I hope whoever makes hiring decisions for the managers at assembly 118 can find better employees.

AGAIN do not move here, life is hard enough to have staff cause more headaches is a stress not worth having

I have been a resident here for over a year and a half. I have had the same parking spot since I’ve moved in. Recently I have had people park in my spot, or park next to me so horribly that I cannot fit into the already extremely compact spot THAT I PAY FOR.

I’ve brought it up with management multiple times and they never do anything about it. And in fact tell me “you can move your car” meanwhile I’m paying an over priced rate for convenience that I’m not receiving.

This place sucks and their management are horrible lazy humans.
