Absolutely disgusted by the way this company conducts business. I called a few times to get truss paperwork on trusses UFP built. I identified myself as a general contractor and builder. The man I was speaking with had a hard accepting that fact…he kept asking if I was the home owner after I kept correcting him. He refused to give me a copy of the truss paperwork because he said, “I didn’t pay for it”. But I started working with an engineer and he requested the truss paperwork and this company sent it to his email. I understand being a woman general contractor is very rare but I feel discriminated against and I plan to sue this company for discrimination as there was no reason why I didn’t get the truss paperwork while another gentleman who asked for it was given what he asked for with NO QUESTIONS ASKED! I have in the past requested other truss manufacturers for truss paperwork to do repairs and modifications and never had to go through the agony this company has made me go through. It’s very hard to fathom that in 2024, I as a black woman in a man dominated industry can be discriminated against and denied documents needed to do my job. I have recorded the phone calls with the company representative who refused to give me the documents I asked for (instead he taunted me to call his boss like he was proud of what he had achieved) that I will share with my attorney and pursue civil suit to the maximum extent of the law. Very disappointed with this company’s unprofessionalism as I have purchased trusses from them before but that certainly will not happen again nor would I recommend anyone to deal with them.
