I have no issue with the trash pick up service as that is performed every week as expected. My extreme dissatisfaction is with having to wait over an hour on hold to speak with a customer service representative. I have had to call them several times since moving to a new residence. Every time I have to wait on hold for over an hour to speak to somebody and that is just unacceptable.

I am always amazed at the speed and accuracy of the truck drivers ability and skill grabbing the trash containers, dumping them, returning them and proceeding to the next. Surely they do hundreds everyday?

I’ve had WM service for over 20 years. I have no complaints about the guys on the ground. They’ve been great. Last week I was on hold for 25 minutes to cancel our 2nd pick up. After completing that task I asked how much less from $124 every 3 months would be. The response? A $12 savings for at least a 50% reduction in service. When I asked for a more fair reduction the WM person told me she’d connect me to another department. After waiting 10 minutes I gave up. Probably the plan

Representative was very gracious but after being with WM in Arizona for over 23 years I am thinking that you do not appreciate long loyal customers. Not only did I have a vacation start up
fee of $40. I also had an administrative charge. I’m a single senior that will look for an alternative to WM next year. I have been your customer since we built the house and certainly don’t mind paying for collection services but a $50. Bill on top of garbage charges is not acceptable in my opinion.

Instructions to put my service on a seasonal or vacation hold are below. In following them I could not find the Pause Service Button and needed to call customer support. The Pause button needs to be more apparent. I still cannot find it.

If you have an upcoming vacation or an extended trip lasting a minimum of 30 days (maximum of 9 months), you may have the option to pause your service while not in use. Follow the steps below to learn how.
1. Log in to your My WM account.
2. If you have a single account, click Pause Service from your My WM Dashboard. If you have multiple accounts, click Adjust Service and select the account where you would like to pause your service. From there, click Pause Service.
3. Select the date when you would like to stop service and the date when you would like your service to resume.
4. Click Request Service Pause to complete your request.
5. If you need to make changes after you’ve submitted your request, Request Help below to get in touch with WM Support

They pick up the garbage. The time can vary week-to-week. Inconsistent. Rates vary for many in the community. Opened the door to competition recently. A lot of the community changed due to the high costs. Raised rates due to fuel costs. Did not lower when fuel costs went down. Guess we will be hearing about new rate increases as fuel costs rise again. At least we have an option now. Not terrible! Not great! They pick up the trash.

WM is extremely poor at providing a time efficient option for seasonal residential customers to suspend and resume trash pickup services. You must talk to a live CS rep, and can be forced to wait 30 minutes or more on the phone with no option for handling such a simple transaction either on-line or by being placed in a call-back phone line queue.
