Fishing has historically been better. Over the last decade especially it deteriorated. Escapement show the data. It's sad 😢. My 10 year old son is left with a once great river to a river that you have to work to catch fish and then also have a lot of luck. Wish he had the same opportunities on this river as I did in the past.

My kids had an incredible time here. Adam took time to explain what they do and the different types of fish they were raising. It was such a great experience.

Seeing the numbers of fish in the holding tanks reminded me of "Jaws"- milling around with just the dorsal fin slicing thru the water. It was quite mezmorising. I was trying to see what they were after- ,,,,,,, a way OUT!!! Lol
Could have watched alot longer, but had to get back to work. I didn't know that steelhead were that "intelligent", when questioned to hatchery workers.
1st hatchery in Washington.
