This organization has entirely too much power on JBLM. For example, they proudly tout the fact they have a matrix for cataloging and determining what constitutes an emergency work order. When I asked to recieve a copy of it, they said they do not distribute that information to units. For an organization who's mission statement is to "Plan, maintain, operate and protect the infrastructure, facilities and environment for the service members, civilians, families, and retiree community at JBLM", this seems like a clear lack of transparency. In another instance, I submitted a complaint to the post about DPW's handling of my service order submissions in ArMA (the maintenance request portal for the US Army). Out of nowhere, they started cancelling my requests because they were assigned as "Staff Duty" instead of my name. This was confusing because for the past 18 months, my requests were being executed without issue. When DPW paid me a visit to discuss my complaint, the two gentlemen proudly stated that JBLM DPW had an "unwritten policy" for which they used as grounds to cancel my requests.

These events point to a clear problem at JBLM. JBLM DPW has accumulated entirely too much power, and it is evident through their willingness to flex their ability to make up policy, and treat it as enforceable. Corrupt organization which needs to be stripped down and reorganized to redistribute the power they have seized on post here.

**These issues are ALL related to the DPW Hierarchy, which is a bureaucracy. EVERY SINGLE interaction I have had with any of the Shops has been exceptional.

Just for awareness. If you’re like me and wanting to find out if DPW makes the Name Signs for Commanders and CSMs that goes outside the BDE/BN. They don’t anymore. I had to go through a whole process to find out it’s a unit responsibility.

I got in contact with customer service and they said it can be done through ArMa. I put in the work order and come to find out that. It’s not something they support.

So to not waste your time. Outsource to other vendors. They were very nice though.

Just disappointed that this not something they assisted with. Commanders and CSMs are always changing.

If I could give them a zero I would. The website says to call if it’s an emergency called and they told me to put in a work order like okay we will continue to sit here while the waste pipe continues leaking .

Turtles are faster than this business and If your life was in danger, these people would let you die before they send someone to help you. Worst business on planet earth . I placed a work order in this morning and they decided to close and not send anyone out to place power back into my place . Should be shut down if you guys don’t know how to do your job and help people

Called in about a power outage and the lady that answered the phone had an attitude was unprofessional and abrasive with her responses. I called back after a few hours to check on the status to find out that she had not put in my request for service. The person that answered the phone the second time refused to give me the name of the woman that initially took the call so I was not able to make a complaint.

Employs drivers that speed thru 20mph kid zones in residential area here on fort Lewis and it's ridiculous how an employee can put pedestrians and kids at risks by speeding 10mph n more.
