Absolutely wonderful experience! My only problem was that my friend and I didn't have enough time to make it through because we arrived late in the day. So much American history information and artifacts in this walk through tour.
Small but friendly staff, including the owners. Wonderful to see his life work and to talk with them. I would like to return to go through again and to see other museums in the area.

Awesome museum! So many historical artifacts here! The New Market Battlefield Military Museum has thousands of civil war artifacts but they also have exhibits from most major American military conflicts, i.e. WWI, WWII, Vietnam and others. Conveniently located off I-81 and adjacent to the Virginia Museum of the Civil War. Definitely worth a stop if you enjoy American history and even more so if you like war weaponry; they have guns, rifles, swords, cannon, you name it. I would probably set aside at least 90 minutes for this museum. They have plenty of parking and a neat gift shop.

This is an New Market Battlefield is an amazing site. Walking the battlefield creates a whole new awareness of how these men fought point blank in their face.

The homes that were taken over as hospitals or command stations is heart breaking. They have some great footage that puts everything into perspective.

It is the week of the 4th of July the temps are high 80’s low 90’s but the humidity makes it hard to be put on the sun. This is beautiful country like a rain forest.

This place is surprisingly good. There are more artifacts here than I would ever have imagined. Tons of equipment, firearms, flags, and weapons. Tons of old photographs and more. Place is well-kept

The absolute coolest history museum that is enjoyable. No rush, no hustle, take your time & wait till you see what they have. A private collection. Unbelievable. Our family was outstanded.

This is an amazing must see museum!. Owners large collection of Plains Indins, Civil War, up to Vietnam. Even George Washingtons hair. Plan on minimum of 3 hours. But it would take days to take it all in. Incredible.

My wife and I saw a sign for the museum and were pleased when we stopped in. They had alot of civil war items. It was amazing seeing things that came to define our history
