I feel underwhelmed here. Price is a little higher than Pick Rite Thriftway in Monte, and the selection is basically Safeway lite. Customer service is hit and miss. The last visit the cashier was great, the time before no so much.

It shocked me to walk into this GROCERY STORE ( Thriftway) recently after moving here to Elma recently, only to find the prices more than high- they were unreasonablely EXPENSIVE & to me ..OFFENSIVE ! Here it is THE ONLY main "full" grocery store in town and they take advantage of that fact and charge the towns people a ridiculous price ! A small desert cake from the bakery $17.00 , Cereal $8.00 a box , or another example is coffee is about $7.50+ ABOVE what Walmart charges ,some brands even higher. All the products they dont carry theyll have something like it and charge an over the top price , obviously knowing people
will pay higher just to not have to drive to another town. SHAME ON ELMA THRIFTWAY.

Typical small town store. Unfortunately these smaller companies have to charge more to be able to stay in business and compete with companies like Kroger causing a markup in crisis that makes convenience stores about as cheap to shop at. Large selection of products though for a small town store.

I always try to give a fair opinion and be honest. Well this store is a nice place very clean and well maintained. Very well stocked . The employees are knowledgeable and friendly always welcoming. But the prices it's absolutely absurd to charge like they do . There isn't anything thrifty about it. This is just my view on it .

Too expensive, asking price is too high for the quality they offer. Only good thing they have going for them is their staff is pretty kind overall.
