We stayed in the kitchen suite. There were 2 or 3 flies already in the room that never left during our stay. The window blind was missing a couple louvers which made it impossible to have complete privacy. All the plumbing fixtures were dated and physically loose. There wasn't a full set of silverware or dish soap in the room. The two TVs weren't plugged in and far too small for the room size. Beds were very firm and the AC was adequate (in the bedroom at least). Booking was unusual--I called to reserve and it took several days to receive a confirmation e-mail including an attachment that they required me to sign and fax back. The e-mail also didn't clearly state the terms/amount of refund for cancellation: "partial refund of deposit if cancelled 30 days prior to arrival and only if the room is rebooked." How about defining what "partial" means?

Accused of smoking marijuana and charged without notifying, in room, cause we smelled like it. Not right. Will never use again and recommend all not to use.

Was a great view fishing and sunset has a pool AC was great the flys and bugs in July were rampant being next to the water!But it was great visit!
Come swim in the lake,come swim in the pool,come sit on deck they had two chairs and a small table to use outdoor deck.

The Sky Deck motel is an awesome place to stay. The room was comfortable, the view was amazing, and Sam the giant orange fluffball cat was adorable. I would love to stay there again.

Don't waste your money. Our room (#3) was on the second floor facing the pool. |It also faced the campground next door where they party late at night . Our room had a queen bed with a sheet and a comforter (that I doubt very much is washed between guests).|The bathroom sink is in the room not the bathroom. The whole place needs to be remodeled. The outside doesn't look too bad but the rooms are a hot mess. It looks old , tired and dingy. The only outlets that weren't fill up already are on the opposite side of the room from the bed. Way too much money for the condition of the room. |

Looked for a place close to home to stay while coming up for the Last Light Show. The Sky Deck Motel is by far a top-notch place to stay. Very clean rooms at a great price. Amazing staff. We will definitely be staying there again.

The location is awesome as it's right on Banks lake and walking distance to water rentals and small grocery store. The staff is all great, I've stayed here a few times and have no complaints. The rooms are huge and every room has a water view for a reasonable price. The only thing I would hope for is upgraded beds in the future, not terrible at all but could use improvement.(after all it is a hotel so can't expect the best of everything) I will stay here for years to come.

My family had a terrible trip here in July. We thought it was just us. Now, another friend went the second week in August, and their time was worse! I want to write a review before someone else books there and regrets it. Extraordinarily rude staff, plain rooms, there is not a coffee pot in the rooms as advertised, the pool is so dirty it was nearly unusable. They do not allow pets though a cat they own walks around all over. The lady at the front desk is condescending and rude, my husband almost canceled our stay mid stay. It's over priced for being the worst view on the lake, the building is run-down, and our mini fridge froze all of our food. We adjusted it's internal settings and it slowly froze our new groceries too. If you want to sit at the end of the lake with no safe way to walk to the water (the only dock is next door and private use), while your pet is not allowed, and the front desk lady is awful, then this is the place for you.
