Buying a boat internationally adds a few complexities. Kat helped us navigate through the process so that we were able to close the transaction on time, helped us convert the currencies efficiently save us money in the process. I have been in 7 transactions buying and selling boats. Kat by far made this my favorite transaction as she explained every step and clearly suggested we take steps that were in the best interests of both her clients. Kat at Marine Documentation was so fantastic to deal with. We had a not-so-straightforward process of purchasing a boat in Seattle to bring home to Vancouver and she was excellent through the whole process.

Worth every penny of their service, I'm a notorious DIY'er and have imported cars across the border, but for the cost, I'd absolutely choose to use your services again Kat. Saved us time and anxiety trying to sort through everything ourselves.

Norm at Marine Documentation Service was great to work with on a deal complicated by out-of-province delivery requirements (BC to AB). I botched my money transfer (never do those on too little sleep). Norm was really good about it, sorted it all out, everyone got their funds (including my overpayment). Norm knows both sides of the border in terms of tax and licensing/registration requirements and I found the business trustworthy, responsive, and professional.

We're buying a boat from friends that have a very full plate right now. They wanted to pay Norm to complete all the documentations.

I called him to ask what we needed to do and what he'll be doing for our friends. His answers were curt. I explained I was trying to understand and was watching out for them like a daughter does her parents.

When I asked his fee he said "I won't work with you" then hung up! WHAT I really believe he was trying to take advantage of our friends and was defensive when I asked any questions.

I received a letter from them saying my USCG was "set to expire" in early November of 2017.
I filled out the online form along with a $75 charge on my CC.
When the new documentation arrived it was set to expire on11/31/18, my old doc was set to expire on 1/31/18 . Why was my new doc set to expire on 1/31/19 I lost two months of time on my old doc.
When I called to say there was a mistake they said "they can't be issued more than two months ahead of time" or words to that effect.
Then why send a reminder out almost three months ahead of time !!!

Unbelievably ignorant, slow, and rude people. I would NEVER recommend this company for any legal documentation transfers or otherwise. Still can't get the title transfer problems fixed that they ignored.
