My friends and I needed to change our plans for a weekend getaway, literally on a dime. Wes and Tessa opened the farmhouse to us unexpectedly and saved our trip! We stayed at the farmhouse, had a personal wine tasting with Wes, enjoyed our time by the fireplace, cooked meals in a kitchen that has everything, and walked the grounds to hang out with the horses.

I would highly recommend Lovingston Winery for a special event, wedding, milestone birthday, or any reason to have a party, I'm sure Wes and Tessa will take great care of you. They are kind, accommodating, and just plain lovely. We cannot wait to come back!!!

My friends and I visited this winery during a little trip for my bachelorette weekend this past August. The winery was simply beautiful, and I was bummed my now husband and I didn't consider this venue for our wedding! The barn is brand new, and the decor, music and art in there is like you're walking into winery in Tuscany (just relaxing and pretty). The view is breathtaking and they have a couple adirondack chairs out in the grass too.

The owners were there and they were so kind. The husband even went out and picked fresh white grapes to go along with our wine sample and cheese/crackers we bought. The wine was very good -- they had a really nice variety too. I should have bought more bottles.. lol.

My husband and I do little getaways in this area multiple times a year. We 100% will be returning.

As others have reported, this is the BEST Virginia wine I've ever tasted. I usually do not like much that's produced in VA but we shared two flights to try 8 of their wines and every single one was a DELIGHT. Not to mention their BEAUTIFUL picnic area and amazing new tasting/venue building. It was artfully crafted and designed with gorgeous attention to every detail. HIGHLY recommended.

Wow! Probably one of the best wineries in Virginia. The quality of the wine is exceptional, the venue is cute cozy overlooking a valley, the staff are really nice and the prices are a steal for the quality. If you are in the area try it. You will not be disappointed.

Words don’t describe how beautiful and wonderful this place is and how amazing the owners are. You will get a personalized experience and meet owners who truly care about your experience and making your wedding the best day ever! Wineries in this area tend to feel more corporate and not personalized but there is so much room for your wedding vision to come to life here at Lovingston Winery. They allow flexibility that most venues don’t allow at all and truly value what means most to you for your day. We had a perfect fall wedding that made for great photos, memories, and stories that we will be able to remember for the rest of our life. Our friends and family were so impressed about how beautiful and homey this place felt! There are endless ways to make this place unique and the breathtaking views and surroundings only add to the beauty of the wedding venue. You will not regret booking here and also get access to a house and a cabin that allow family members or bridal party to stay on site and to get ready on the day of. This place is truly a hidden gem, and I think anyone who books will see the magic that this places holds like we did <3

Our wedding at Lovingston Winery was out of a dream. The setting is beautiful, with the vineyards in the foreground and the mountains in the background. We were able to have our whole wedding party stay on site which made the weekend so much smoother. The Tupelo House (event barn) is absolutely beautiful and such a fun place to dance the night away. Tessa and Wes were kind and helpful the entire time, and Tessa was so gracious with my many emails asking about small details for other vendors. They made us feel so welcome and valued, and we're so grateful for all of their help in making our day so special!

We got married at Lovingston on June 22, 2024, and we could not recommend it more! To start, it’s absolutely GORGEOUS. From the beautiful old oak tree on the front lawn to the vines with mountain views, the scenery is SO pretty. Not to mention Tessa and Wes’s beautiful design of the new barn - the Tupelo House - and the cozy vibes they created in the Farmhouse and Cabin. Tessa and Wes were communicative from the very beginning, helping us set up a tour, answering all of our questions throughout the entire process, helping us pick the (delicious) wines for our reception, and being super responsive during our wedding weekend. Having the Farmhouse and Cabin on property was such an amazing amenity. Most of our wedding party stayed onsite, and it made for such a fun and relaxed vibe that I would highly recommend - no need to look at extra properties for getting ready or booking transportation for the wedding party! Waking up on site and sitting on the tree swing and walking around the property with my dog, fiancé, and friends, was one of my most special memories from the weekend. The included furniture was awesome and fit our vibe, and the additional rentals they offered were stunning and matched the beautiful taste they demonstrate throughout the property. Being at a winery, you have to purchase their wine for the reception (just like all of the wineries in the Charlottesville area), and theirs are all amazing.
