We failed to come into this shop for the first few years we lived here, and I regret that because they are such a great butcher shop. Everything we have gotten is top notch. Love the tri tips and flap meats for picanhas for their value, great ground burger, house bacon is terrific. Their high end cuts are not cheap but they are always the best meat we buy. They are also super helpful in sizing portions, recommending a cut for a preparation, and cutting a piece to order. Shop local and Alton would tell you, you should know your butcher. They are nice people at Olde Towne and worth a visit

These guys are brilliant! They have done two runs of Aussie Snags for us they nailed it. The locals absolutely demolished them! If you are from Aus/NZ and need a taste of home, give them a call.

I stopped in by chance while walking around with wife. I took home 4 of the Cumberland sausages. Best sausages i have ever eaten!! No fat, no gristle. Like a lean hamburger in a casing. I ate four in about a day and a half. Heading down today (hour ride each way) to get more.

Wow! Best prime rib roast ever! The meat was outstanding. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable. I will buy meat from here every time I’m in town! Thank you for helping me make my mother in laws 90th birthday so perfect!

Stopped by the revamped spot and love what they did to the new shop arrangement. I haven't been back in years. I can't believe I got this great a cut of prime rib eye for this price. The two young men at the front knew exactly what I was looking for and explained how each cut of meat would behave under grill, smoke, or cast iron. Highly knowledgeable staff that are extremely down to earth and approachable. They explained in depth different cuts as well as suggested their butcher wings which were phenomenal with their in house seasoning!! Felt like we were just kickin it , laid back fun vibe! Great Butcher. I hope they stay for years to come! I'll take the drive from RVA for sure!
