Rick repaired my damaged horse trailer and made it function like new! The craftsmanship was exceptional, as was the communication. The price was fair for the work accomplished. Rick did a fantastic job fixing my teardrop campers electrical!!! He put in a heavy duty connection that will last forever!!
I also had a problem with water coming in doors when towing in rain and snow and could not figure out a good solution. Rick fabricated a beautiful aluminum frame that eliminated that problem entirely. Service was extremely fast and very reasonable.
He is a wonderful friendly guy that knows his business. Absolutely my go to guy for any repairs from now on. I will be having him put on nicer fenders in the future.
Oh , he also wired my teardrop so my trailer battery will charge when driving!

I had a crack develop in the drag bar link of my truck that was almost a complete failure. My options were to tow my truck home and try to do a deep penetration weld with my small welder, or do a google search for a very close welding shop. Rick's shop was just a few blocks away, so I limpedy truck over.

Despite being late in the day and their schedule being full, Rick dropped what he was doing to do an excellent repair. He knew about proper methods to stop crack propagation, his welding temperatures were spot on for penetration without undercut or pooling, and overall did a bang up job.

The price was probably less than the tow, and a better weld than I could do with my equipment.

Owner was a bully.

One of our trailer brake shoes would fail to release sometimes so we called ahead to shops in Tucson, where we were staying. Most other shops were slammed but Cholla said they were not busy, so long as we were their type of customer (owner ranted a bit about commercial drivers being unwelcome). Given their positive reviews, of the shops that could take us right away, we chose to go to Cholla.

Our GPS tracker shows we arrived at 3:55, five minutes before Cholla closed. Owner looked at trailer for a minute but when he saw that we had a flat to round trailer power adapter, he said the problem was a wiring problem and that our brakes had been fully engaged on all six trailer wheels for the last 900 miles. I assured him that we had wired the trailer specifically for this trip (its wiring was completely missing when we purchased it) and, while it may not be wired to standard pins, the brakes clearly engaged only when actuating the trailer brake controller and remained cool for the entire trip, aside from three instances where one brake (of the six) would fail to fully disengage. Owner said that only the wiring up to the trailer plug on the truck mattered, not how it is wired in the trailer (!?!). He then stated that he obviously didn't know what he was talking about so we should go elsewhere. I asked him to reconsider working on our brakes because we had come a long way based on his promise on the phone to work on our trailer but he stormed off. Our GPS tracker shows we departed at 4pm, just as they were closing for the day.

We went 29 minutes out of our way to go to Cholla. Since all the other shops we contacted also closed at 4pm, any hope we had of getting back on the road quickly was gone. As it turned out, we had the repair performed at a nearby shop the next day. They gave us all new hardware (but left the wiring alone) and we have since gone another 1,200 miles without incident.

Cholla may do good work for certain things but people should be warned of how it is at Cholla. The owner is simply a bully. Talented, maybe, but also headstrong and, when he's mistaken, you will be the one to suffer (especially if you don't go along with everything he suggests).

brought my boat trailer down there to get some fenders and side steps replaced. After closer inspection very sloppy welds not a complete job at all and when I called back to the owner and spoke to him about the work he told me if he would have known I was so picky he would have charged me more money for a better job. Is it too much for a customer to expect a good job from the beginning. stay away from this company.
